April is for fools (傻瓜).  "3 ! Your shoe is broken." "Ha, ha, hah, April Fools!"

May is for 4 . "Mommy, I love you."

June is for fathers. "Daddy, I 5 you."

July is for fireworks (烟花) . "Wow, look at the red one! Oh, the blue one is falling like rain."

August is for my 6 . "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you."

7 is for school. "Good morning, teacher. 8 are you?"

October is for dogs, cats and so on (等等). "Please love them, because they are our 9 ."

November is for Thanksgiving. "Please pass the turkey (火鸡) to me."

December is for Christmas Day (圣诞节). "10 Christmas to all."

Anna Mary，known as Grandma Moses，grew up on a farm. As a child，she loved drawing. But she hardly（几乎不） did it because she had to do busy farm work. Grandma Moses spent all her life on the farm. When she was old and found farm work difficult，she started to paint at the age of 78. 

An art lover found Grandma Moses's paintings in a shop in 1938. He bought them，and the next day he went to her farm and bought all her paintings. Soon Grandma Moses became famous. In 1940，at the age of 80，she had her first painting show in New York. "Do your favorite thing，and you will finally be successful（成功的），"she once said. 

Grandma Moses died in 1961，at the age of 101. She painted over 1600 paintings in the late part of her life. Many people loved the bright colors and beautiful farm views in her works. After knowing Grandma Moses's life story，they felt relaxed about their future（未来） because becoming old didn't mean anything. Also，they thought confidently about their future. They finally knew that age wouldn't be a problem for those who wanted to make a change（改变）. 

What is the most stressful thing in school? It is probably exams. Exams can put us under a lot of pressure. But some students do well under pressure while others feel terrible. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

It all comes down to dopamine (多巴胺). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} It has many important roles: influencing memory, attention. and how we learn. Our brains work best when there is an even balance of dopamine—not too much or too little. The brain controls dopamine in two ways. It either takes out dopamine quickly, or gradually. Exam success can be related to how fast dopamine goes back to an even balance.

 {#blank#}3{#/blank#} if you become stressed, your brain will start to have too much dopamine. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} The quicker you are able to go back to an even balance of dopamine, the quicker you can fix yourself perform better on a test. 

Scientists found that, during a test, people who slowly got back to an even balance of dopamine scored 8 percent lower. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} The answer is yes. So don't fear, there is some good news. The study also found that the more practice you get, the less stressed you'll be. So, it turns out that practice really does make perfect.

The traditional Chinese Lunar Calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Great Heat (大暑), the 12th solar term of the year, begins this year on July 22 and ends on August 7. During Great Heat, most parts of China enter the hottest season of the year. The following are some things you should know about Great Heat.

A season of harvesting and planting

During Great Heat, the sunshine, high temperatures, and heavy rainfall are good for agricultural crops. But like Slight Heat, many natural calamities such as floods, droughts (干旱) and typhoons also happen during Great Heat. Therefore, it's important to harvest and plant in time to avoid setbacks (挫折) caused by natural disasters.

Sending the Great Heat ship in Zhejiang

The ship is filled with various animals for sacrifice (祭祀) such as pigs, sheep, chickens, fish and shrimps. More than 50 fishermen take turns carrying the ship as they march through the streets. The drums are played and fireworks are lit. Both sides of the streets are filled with people praying for blessings. After a series of ceremonies, the ship is finally carried to the wharf (码头). Then, the ship is pulled out of the fishing port and burned at sea. People carry out this ritual (典礼) to pray for good harvests (收成) and health.

Eating litchi and Mizao in Fujian

On the day of Great Heat, there is a custom of eating litchi and Mizao in Putian, Fujian Province, as a celebration of Great Heat. Litchi is a nutritious fruit. People usually soak litchi in cold well water first and eat it. Mizao is made of fermented (已发酵的) rice. On the day of Great Heat, people cook it with brown sugar.

 When I went to the library with my son, I saw your advertisement (广告) in the newspaper. It says if I join your club,I can visit other countries cheaply. I'm interested in it and I think it's a good way to spend a holiday(假期). I can offer(提供) my house here in Munich when I am traveling.

My house is in the center of the town, near an art museum. So it's an excellent place for art lovers. The house is big enough for four or five people to live in and it has everything for a nice holiday. But there is no swimming pool.

 My favorite countries to visit on holiday are English-speaking countries, but France would be a good place for me too. I usually take my holidays between March and June, and this is the time when another member(成员) of your club could use my house. The weather is good in Munich at this time of the year.
