The Lost Thing is a famous film. It's a story about a young man and a teapot(茶壶). The young man often wears a pair of glasses. He likes collecting bottle caps when he's travelling around the world. One day, he takes an old train to the beach. He finds a strange red teapot. It is about 4 metres tall. He doesn't know anything about it. But the teapot is very friendly to him. It kicks a colourful ball to the man and they play with the ball all the afternoon. When all the people on the beach leave, nobody takes the teapot away. 

When the sun goes down, the young man starts to know that his friend, the teapot, doesn't have an owner(主人). He thinks, "It might be a lost thing. "He wants to know more about the red teapot, so he picks it up and wants to help it find its owner. Will the teapot find its owner? It's a secret.

Dong Lina grew up in a farmer's family in Dalian, Liaoning. She couldn't see clearly when she was a baby. She couldn't see anything when she was only ten years old.

Dong went to a special school for people who can't see or hear. After that, she learned tuina and then found a job. One of her teachers said tuina was her only way out. But Dong didn't think so.

In 2006, 22-year-old Dong took part in a radio host (主持人) programme. Soon she fell in love with broadcasting. It was really difficult for her to learn that, but Dong tried her best and practiced every day. A year later, she got good grades (等级) in the Mandarin Proficiency Test. She could work as a radio host!

In 2015, Dong became the host of a radio programme. And in the same year, she went to learn radio and TV broadcasting in Communication University of China. She also worked as a part-time teacher in her free time.

Last July, Dong finished her study in the university.

She's the first visually impaired master (硕士) of broadcasting in China. She says, "We should always have dreams and work hard for them."

Betty is a biologist. She studies brain diseases that come along with aging. Her 1 is not an easy one. She is trying to understand what goes wrong with the brain over time, and how people can age in a healthy way. It is very important, especially when people are living a 2 life now.

Betty does not have a natural gift (天赋) for math. She never 3 that she could be a scientist one day when she was little. Now, she has got a doctor's degree in biology and become a famous 4 researcher. Betty has made it partly because she is curious about everything. This is a very 5 quality for a scientist. Another 6 is that she is a creative thinker. "After all, science is all about problem-solving," Betty said.

Betty thinks the best part of her research is trying out an idea to see if it will work. Her heart is filled with joy when her idea is proved right and 7 by other scientists. But when things don't go 8 as she plans, she feels no disappointment. She says mistakes may 9 a new idea.

Few are born to be a 10 . According to Betty, curiosity and creativity play the biggest role.

Zhu Yanjun won the second place in the Chinese Poetry Competition for his excellent poetry skills.

Born in{#blank#}1{#/blank#} village in Jingning County, Gansu Province, Zhu only received primary and middle school education. His love for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( read) poetry and books came from his Chinese teacher who has published many {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( article) in magazines."I also wanted to published stories, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}I started to read," he told China Daily.

Although Zhu left school so early, he didn't stop his poetic journey. He worked {#blank#}5{#/blank#} more than 10 cities. Whenever he got to a city, he visited the bookstores and libraries there. He took a notebook to write down paragraphs from books and recite(背诵){#blank#}6{#/blank#}( they).

Most of his favorite poems from the Tang Dynasty, and some of them{#blank#}7{#/blank#}( write) by Chairman Mao Zedong. Why? Because he found them easy {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( remember). Over the years, he has read thousands of poems and he can recite more than 1,000 of them now.

Reading poetry {#blank#}9{#/blank#}( help) Zhu stay calm and he never complains about hard work." Whenever I face any difficulty, I think of a famous saying‘ Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it'," he told China Daily.

Zhu's children were {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( interest) in poetry too. They were accepted into universities in different cities.

Anna comes from Russia. She is 17 years old. She's going to stay with the Black family for a year. Anna comes to England because she wants to study England. She helps Mrs. Black to do housework in the house and goes to English {#blank#}1{#/blank#} every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. 

Anna is now in London. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} is new to her. She finds life is different from that in Moscow. Some things are nice in London, but many things are not so nice. The shops are {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in London than those in Moscow. So it's very expensive to enjoy {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in London. It's expensive to have a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} at a restaurant or go to a cinema. 

Now Anna has got used to(习惯）many things, but she can't get used to the breakfast in England. "The England eat so much in the morning, " she often says, "fruits, porridge, eggs, tea and bread. How can you face all that food so early in the day?"
