Nobody wants to lose, but we must accept that losing is a part of life. After all, we can't win all the time. However, we can learn something valuable from every failure (失败). This may help us succeed in the future. So, we must know how to be a good loser.

We must not be afraid of losing. When we lose, just take it with a smile and look on the bright side of it. Failure can't be avoided in our life. Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb (灯泡). When he was asked how he felt, he said that he hadn't failed 10,000 times but had learned 10,000 things which didn't work. We must know that history is full of examples of men and women who achieved success although they failed many times.

Losing is not very disgraceful. We must accept our failure and learn to take advantage of it. Remember that it can be helpful. Take action to walk out of it. When we lose, think about what we did and how we can improve. If someone else can help, we'll be lucky enough. Maybe he or she has been through the same experience before. Many people enjoy helping others solve problems. This can save us a lot of time in learning how to avoid the same mistakes in the future.

We should face our failure when we lose. There is only one winner in every competition. Some win, while some lose. That is a usual way of life. If we offer our congratulations (祝贺) to the winners and share in their happiness, we won't feel sorry for our failure.

In a word, being a good loser will help us to succeed in life. It might be painful at the beginning, but there are many advantages. Good losers set examples to us, and most importantly, they finally win.

Do you know why you get angry so easily, but your friend smiles all the time? It's because you have different personalities. Then what is personality? It's about how people think, behave(举止) and react(反应) to everything around them.

So what makes people think and behave in certain ways? Part of the reason is that people are born like this. A baby gets its genes and blood type(血型) when it is still inside its mother. These may help decide what the baby will be like.

But one's personality doesn't stop here. Family life, school learning and life experiences can also make you the person you are. But this doesn't mean you can't change your personality. You can al- ways try to make yourself better. Don't get too worried if you don't have a good personality. Just face it. This is a good way to start making changes.

For example, if you don't know how to make friends, find out why. Is it because you' re too shy? If so, tell yourself to smile at people. Start talking to people kindly. But don't give yourself a hard time about it all. After all, it's not easy to change lifelong habits in one night. Just keep trying. One day you can see that you can be a new you!

Teachers help us to be good students and people. So we should thank them for their work. In China, we have Teachers' Day on September 10th. On that day, we say thanks to our teachers. But how do students in the US thank their teachers?

Schools in the US have a whole week in May to appreciate their teachers! Teacher Appreciate Day is on Tuesday of that week. They have parties with gifts and snacks that week. Students in the US like to give small gifts to their teachers, and the teachers love getting thank-you notes from their students. Teachers also like getting trinkets from students.

Should we say thanks to our teachers only on Teachers' Day? No. We should thank our teachers all the time. Always show our love to our teachers. It helps them do a good job.

What can we do to keep healthy? For children, healthy eating is one of the most important things. Here are some ideas about how to eat healthily. 

Having Breakfast    A good breakfast is very important to children. It's necessary to have it in the morning. But some children don't have breakfast, just because they want to sleep a little longer. Remember that a good breakfast will help you study well.

Having Healthy Food   Having healthy food is the most important. That means you need to eat different kinds of food, especially fruit and vegetables. Don't eat too much junk food, such as chocolate or ice cream. Some of you like to eat fast food, in fact it is not good for your health. 

Have healthy eating habits, you will have a strong body. 

 You may find school fun at the beginning of the new school year, but how can you keep having fun at school? Here are five ways.

▲ . Learning can be like playing a game. Talk about what you are learning with your classmates. Connect(联系) it to things you see every day. Learning is more fun when you do it with others.

 Be a great helper. You can help your friends with their schoolwork. You can also help your teachers by listening carefully and joining in class activities. Being a great helper makes everyone happy.

 Show your happy face. When you' re excited about learning, learning will be less difficult. If things are too difficult, don't worry. Just keep trying, and you will find things are getting better and better.

 Talk about your feelings. There are good and bad times at school for everyone. If you feel sad, talk to someone else. Share your feelings with your family, teachers, or friends. They can tell you what to do and help you feel better.

 Always ask questions. It is a great way to learn new things. If you don't understand(理解) something, put up your hand and ask your teachers. They are there to help you.

 Remember, the school is a place where you can have fun and learn all the time! Try your best and enjoy your school life!

Tony Wheeler was born to (与生俱来）travel. His father worked for an airline. For the first 16 years of his life，Tony and his family lived in many different countries. 

In the early 1970s，Tony met a young woman named Maureen. They soon married. 

Before getting jobs，Tony and Maureen wanted to travel. They took a year­long trip from England，through Asia，to New Zealand. On the trip，they visited places like China，India，and so on.

Tony and Maureen started a company called Lonely Planet. They still travelled everywhere. They wrote books for each place they visited. Today, 800 people work for Lonely Planet. The company has over 650 books. Tony Wheeler，the great traveller，still writes about travels to many places and will bring us happiness.
