The Winning Team

Peter had the worst day of his life. As he walked home alone, he felt like there was a heavy weight on his shoulders. He couldn't stop thinking about what happened on the school soccer field. How could he have missed scoring that goal? ①这让他很生气。His team had lost the game because of his mistakes. He let his whole team down. He was worried that his coach might kick him off the team. 

Peter went home without saying a word, but his feelings were written on his face. 

After his father knew what had happened, he told him not to be too hard on himself. After all. winning or losing is only half of the game. The other half is learning how to communicate with others and learning from mistakes. Besides, soccer is about team effort, so teammates should support each other. 

The next day, Peter said sorry to his teammates and asked them to pull together. To his surprise, they all nodded in agreement. "Yeah. "they said. "Don't worry about it. It's never just one person's

fault. ②We should think about how we can do better next time. "Peter felt lucky to be on a winning team. 

A: Hey, did you hear the news? The Zhengzhou—Xuchang subway has opened!

B: No, I didn't. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}?

A: It started at 6 a. m. on December 26th.

B: Good news! I plan to take it. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}?

A: There are 27 stations in total on this line, covering both Zhengzhou and Xuchang.

B: It's a really convenient way to travel between the two cities.

B: How about 9 a. m. at the gate of the station? This is going to be such an exciting experience.

An art collector(收藏家) is walking in the street when he sees a cat drinking milk from a big bowl(碗) in front of a store. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} The art collector likes the bowl very much and walks into the store. The store is not big. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Then he asks the store owner(主人) to sell him the cat. 

The store owner says, "I am sorry, but the cat is not for sale." The art collector says, "Please, I need a cat around the house to catch the mice (抓老鼠). {#blank#}3{#/blank#}"

The store owner says, "OK." He then lets the art collector take the cat. The art collector says, "{#blank#}4{#/blank#} The cat likes it and I don't want to buy a new one." The store owner says, "Sorry, I can't sell that bowl. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I sell 10 cats this week because of it."

Then the art collector doesn't say a word.

A. It is my lucky(幸运) bowl.

B. But there are many cats in it.

C. He takes the cat and the bowl.

D. I'll pay you 200 yuanfor the cat.

E. Hey, can I get the old bowl, too?

F. The bowl looks old but very special.

Last winter holiday, I went to an island with my parents. The island is 142, 000 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} metres. We had breakfast at {#blank#}2{#/blank#} 9:00 am. The {#blank#}3{#/blank#} there were different from those in cities. I took lots of pictures there.
