Relationships may develop problems for different kinds of reasons. However, poor communication is often the reason why some people have a hard time solving these problems. Here are some suggestions for you to improve the communication between your partner and yourself.

Schedule（安排）time to just talk. When problems start, communication often breaks down and you may notice that you and your partner do not talk as much as you used to. To start improving your communication again, try to find a certain time to talk about anything.

Work on active listening skills. Problems may also appear in relationships if a partner feels like he or she is not being heard. To solve this problem, practise active listening skills when your partner is talking to you.

Express your appreciation（欣赏）for each other. Feeling unaccepted can cause problems in a relationship as well. That is why it is so important to remember to say things like "Thank you." and "I appreciate you." as often as possible.

Think carefully before you speak. Sometimes you may find yourself saying or wanting to say things that might make your partner feel bad about himself or herself. If so, take a moment to stop and think about what the problem is and what you could say to help find a better way to solve it.

Apologize if you make mistakes. Sometimes you will need to apologize in order to move forward with your partner. If you make an apology, make sure that it is sincere.

On December 9th, 3:50 in the afternoon, many students in China watch TV. It is a very interesting science class from the space station(大空站). They all like it very much!

Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu are the three teachers. And Wang Yaping is the only woman teacher. She is great fun!

First, she says hello to all of the students. Then she lets the students have a look at their "rooms" in the space station. She gets an apple from the fridge（冰箱）．She says, "This apple is in the space station for a long time but it is really fresh. In her class, Wang Yaping helps the students to know much about water in space. She puts a ping-pong ball in the water. The ball doesn't go up but stays in the middle of the water. It is really interesting! Things in the space station are not the same as we know. Many students ask questions about space science. They are happy to help them.

Wang Yaping has a flower. It is from her daughter. She is only five now. She watches her mom in the space class, too! After one hour, the space science class finishes. Wang says, "All of you are flowers of China. One day you can come to space yourselves and find new things about space!"

I hoped to be set free one day,so I was nice to the Lilliputians.Gradually,     ▲     .Sometimes the children even played hide-and-seek in my hair.

One day,the king said to me,"Gulliver,I invite you to watch an important performance.It is a contest called Rope Dancing".In the contest,a thin rope was tied between two poles very high above the ground.People had to dance on this rope.Each dancer tried to jump higher than the others.I had never seen such a dangerous sport.

"Your Majesty,"I said,"many dancers must fall and be hurt or killed."

"Yes,"he replied,"But I will give the best jobs in my kingdom to the men who are not afraid and jump the highest."What a strange way to choose who will work for the country!"I thought.

Then,as the king watched,I tied each corner of my handkerchief to a strong stick, and pushed the four sticks into the ground.My handkerchief was now under the rope but above the ground.Any dancer who fell would land on the handkerchief and not get hurt. The king was very pleased with my invention.His family and many other people watched the rope dancing.

Would you and the queen like to see better?"I asked the king.I gently put them on my hand and held it beside the rope.They had a good view of the dancers.One very skilled performer held on to the rope and flipped(翻转)his body right over it.The king and the queen clapped loudly and cheered.Later the king told me that he made this man one of his chief(首要的)advisors.

The king and I met often.He seemed to enjoy our conversations.One day,I said again,"Your Majesty, please set me free."This time he answered,"I have talked to my

advisors.We agree that you have been good to our people." 

Miss White is a teacher. Her home is near her school. So she walks there in the morning. All her students are very small. It's a cold and windy morning. Miss White walks to school as usual. The cold wind goes into her eyes and big tears（眼泪） come out of her eyes. She gets to school, opens the door and goes into the classroom. It's nice and warm there and she is happy. But then a small boy looks at her, then puts his arms round her and says, "Don't cry, Miss. School isn't very bad. "

For many people, their first plane trip is ' not very good. The following will help you have a good trip.

The first and most important thing is to be EARLY! Call the airport 4 hours earlier and make sure that the flight(航班) is still on time. Get to the airport 2 hours early. This will give you much time to get your boarding pass(登机证) and pass the security check(安检).

Be sure to take something to chew(咀嚼) when you are in the air. Taking a book with you can help you kill your flight time. You also need to take some special things like glasses or medicine, because you may need them on your trip. Take the ID card and enough money with you. Because you need them when having a trip.

When you get on the plane, make sure that you are in the right seat. Don't be afraid when the plane is taking off(起飞). Take— off may be a difficult part of your trip. When it is over. you can release(解开) your seat belt(安全带), and you can go to the lavatory(卫生间) if you want.

Riding bikes is becoming more and more popular all over the world. Many people like riding in their daily lives. The following are some students' ideas about it:

◆ Lily: Having a night bike riding in a big city is really good for us. When we're riding around the city, we open our eyes. Many people travel by bike. They say travelling by bike gives them a chance to see the world differently. 

◆ Tom: If you live in a city full of cars, a bike can help to save your time. You don't need to pay different kinds of vehicle taxes (车税). It helps you save money. 

◆ Peter: It's good for the environment. You should just start from yourself, do something to reduce air pollution and keep the air clean. Then try to ride a bike to school or to work. 

◆ Mark: Now, we are so busy that we often don't have time to exercise. Riding can give us the chance. It is good for our mind and body.
