Hello, I'm Anna. The summer holiday is coming. What's your plan for it? I would like to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (分享)mine with you. This holiday, I will go on a summer {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (营地) in London first. I'm going to learn to draw, make new friends and go {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(观光) there. Anyway, I will have a lot of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(乐趣). Then after coming back from London, I am going to visit my grandparents in the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(乡下). l will help them with some farm work and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(家务劳动). l also want to do some volunteer work {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(在……期间) the summer holiday, such as helping in an old people's home and collecting {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(垃圾) in the park. I think I will have a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(极好的) holiday. I really look{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(向前)to it! 

When I was a child, I was never really very interested in nature. Then one day my aunt bought me a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} for my birthday. It was called Birding on Borrowed Time. When she gave it to me, I was a little {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. It didn't seem very interesting, and I wanted new games for my phone. My aunt made me promise {#blank#}3{#/blank#} it. So I did, and I loved it. I found it was so interesting that I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} forgot about time. In fact, I didn't do anything else {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I finished it-- no TV, no games, nothing. As soon as I finished the book,I went out and bought a pair of binoculars(望远镜).

After that, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} watching birds was one of the most interesting things in the world. To watch the birds, I needed to read books to learn about birds. Now I know more birds' {#blank#}7{#/blank#} than before. I can tell what they look like, how they fly and where to find {#blank#}8{#/blank#}.

Watching birds is interesting but not {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. Sometimes I have to stay in one place for a long time, and I have to take heavy binoculars and cameras with me. But when you find a beautiful bird and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} photos of it, it is really exciting.

My name is Luo Xiaowei. I am a teacher in a school in a small town. I came here when I was 22 years old. So far, 20 years has been gone.

People usually ask me what it is like to be a teacher? I think sometimes it can be hard and tiring, because kids are difficult. I have to teach them right from wrong patiently. But most of the time, I feel great to be a teacher. When the students make progress day by day, I am proud of them and myself. Last Monday, when I came back to my office after a lesson, a girl was waiting for me at the door. She is shy and hardly speaks in class. She took something out of her pocket and put it on my hand. Then she ran away. It was a candy with a piece of note saying: "Miss Luo, my mom came back yesterday and taught me to make the candy. You are the first one I want to share with." At that moment, all the tiredness (劳累) had been swept away. And that is why I stick to (坚持) being a teacher.

Wangari Maathai, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, was born on April 1, 1940, in Kenya. Growing up in the countryside, Wangari was deeply connected to the land from an early age. This early experience with the environment later inspired her life's work, which has left an unforgettable mark on the world. 

With the help of a program, Wangari received her university education in the United States. After graduation, she returned to Kenya. In 1971, she got a doctor's degree from the University of Nairobi, becoming the first woman doctor in East and Central Africa. But her greater achievement was outside the university. In 1977, Wangari set up the Green Belt Movement, an organization focused on tree planting, environmental protection, and women's rights. She called on Kenyan women to plant trees in their hometown. This simple act not only helped to protect the environment but also made women powerful economically and socially. 

Wangari focused not only on environmental problems. She made great efforts to fight for democracy （民主）, human rights, and social fairness. Her activism（激进主义） often put her in disagreement with the Kenyan government. As a result, she was put in prison several times, but she kept fighting bravely. It was because of her tireless work that she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. She became the first African woman to receive the award. 

Wangari passed away on September 25, 2011, but her spirit continues to inspire a worldwide movement towards environmental protection and social fairness. Her book, Unbowed, records her life journey and the challenges she faced, offering an inspiration to countless people worldwide. Her story lives on through the millions of trees planted by the Green Belt Movement and the countless lives she touched through her hard work. It serves as a reminder that even the smallest actions, like planting a tree, can have a great influence on the world. 

Sanjiangyuan is home to the headwaters of the Yangtze,Yellow and Lancang rivers.In 2016,China began the pilot operation of Sanjiangyuan National Park.In October 2021,the government named Sanjiangyuan a national park:2023 marks the ;20th anniversary of Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve's setup.

Tsewang Gyaltsen,is an environmental protection worker in Qinghai province. He said,"Because of illegal mining(非法采矿)activities,a large part of our land was desertified(荒漠化).It is so harmful to the environment that it is hard to make it. green again"

The government,local people and social organizations have all worked hard and taken action to solve this problem.The government is continuing to improve the ecological(生态的)protection management system.The local people have also.make efforts to the environmental protection of Sanjiangyuan.They used to carry food with them in plastic bags and left the bags behind.But now they are regularly called on to pick up waste on the grasslands.The organizations Tsewang Gyaltsen has been working for is also devoted to organizing nature education.They often take teenagers to mountains and lakes to help them pay more attention to environmental protection.Thanks to these efforts,Sanjiangyuan is now green,vibrant and peaceful and a true heaven for wild animals."We hope more people can take part in the environmental protection of Sanjiangyuan and make it even better."Tsewang Gyaltsen said.

John is a student in a middle school. He likes hamburgers best. He doesn't want to eat fruit or vegetables. So he is very fat. His mother always says to him, "John, you can't be so fat. It's not healthy." But John says, "I'm fine, Mom. I want to eat my favorite hamburgers every day. At school, John doesn't like P.E. and he doesn't want to do sports. Every time he has P.E., he says to his teacher, "I don't feel(感觉) well and I can't have P.E." Then he goes to his classroom and eats food. 

Today John goes shopping with his mother. He wants to buy new clothes, but he is not happy____this time. He finds a nice T-shirt, but he can't wear the T-shirt in a big size. John says to his parents, "I don't want to be fat! And I want to be healthy." His father says he can take him to do sports. His mother says it's useful to eat healthy food. John thanks them for their help.
