—Yes, but I only wish ________ music now.

Last Saturday was a great day. We felt the 1 of the world that day. 

While Bob and I went across a bridge, something caught our 2 . On a large rock (岩石) in the centre of a small river, something was3 . 

"What's that little thing?" Bob asked. 

4 , a father and son went onto the bridge. 

"Dad, that's a baby bird!" he called to 5 father. 

The baby bird 6 on the large rock in the fast- moving water. It sat there, wet and shaking. It felt 7 . 

"We've got to save it though it may take some 8 !" the boy cried. 

Bob and I also 9 to save the bird. While climbing down the bank (河岸), we saw the father already standing in the water10 holding his son's hand. Bob also stepped into the water while the boy nearly fell. 

The river is a little deep. What's 11 , mud (泥) round the river rocks made walking more difficult. The father helped his son back up. 

"Maybe I can get it," Bob said. He was 12 there when an underwater rock stopped him.

Then the father was back in the water 13 . He held Bob's hand and Bob got the baby bird finally. The boy 14 and the two men walked hand in hand. Getting to the river bank, they took the little wet bird to a 15 place. It jumped several times. This is the first time I have saved a bird. I feel good!

Bella invited me to her birthday party but something unexpected (出乎意料的) happened after dinner.

"It's scary movie time!" Bella said 1 .

"Are you kidding? Watching scary things before bed will keep me 2 the whole night," I said.

"Come on. My cousin 3 saw this movie before and he says it's not scary at all," said Bella.

"I may ruin (破坏) your party because of my endless scream (尖叫)," I 4 .

"It's my birthday wish. 5 try to watch it, even for a couple of minutes," said Bella.

Then I agreed very unhappily. We sat in the sofa with yummy popcorn and 6 the movie. For the first couple of minutes, I thought Bella's cousin was 7 . But later the monsters (怪兽) started 8 at everybody in the movie. So both of us 9 and screamed!

I even made all my popcorn go 10 . I knew I 11 find a way to run away from those scary scenes. "Is it OK if I talk a walk 12 the movie is over? Maybe you can tell me what happened later."

"Fine."

Then everything worked out fine. Bella did have fun during the movie, but not so much fun later.

"Can 13 just turn the light on?" Bella said at bedtime. "I keep thinking there are 14 monsters under my bed. There's no way I'm going to close my eyes tonight."

I was very 15 that I just watched for a couple of minutes. Not only because the movie was not so much fun, but also because I was brave to refuse what I didn't like at last.
