I'm Mrs Green. This summer holiday, I went to London with my husband and our son Sam. We first spent four days visiting some famous places, such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. On the fifth day, I was a bit tired and just wanted to stay at the hotel. But Sam didn't want to. He would like to visit the HMS Belfast, a famous warship(战舰)that joined the Second World War(战争). It is on the River Thames as a museum for people to visit now. It is very famous and Sam read about it in a magazine. Well, boys always love these things, so I promised to go with him. 

We took the underground and it took us about twenty minutes to get to the River Thames from our hotel. After walking another ten minutes we finally saw the HMS Belfast. An adult ticket was £ 24. 5 and my husband bought two. Sam was only 13 years old, so his ticket was half price. The HMS Belfast was really large. Sam was interested in everything on it and took lots of photos. He said it was his favourite place on his trip to London. 

Most of the movies show our relationships and our society. What's more important is that people love to watch highs and lows of the relationships in movies. Friendship has been the favorite subject of movie makers for a long time. Many movies are based on lovely relationships like friendship. Friendship can be between two persons or among more than two persons. Movies based on friendship make us remember that the relationship among friends is delicate (需要小心处理的). These movies also show how important it is to have a true friend in life and to own the relationship.

Friendship is described in different ways in movies. These movies show different faces of this lovely relationship including the pleasant and interesting faces. Let us discuss how friendship is described in movies. 

Friends share common interests: in most of the movies, it is shown that two people become friends easily when they share some common interests. For example, two friends may be in love with the same sports, studying in the same school or living in the same neighborhood. You can see such friendship in movies such as Harry Potter or Lord of Rings. Harry Potter has two friends. All of them are interested in the use of magic.

Friends make sacrifices: in most of the movies, friends make sacrifices for each other. A good example is Sholay. In this movie, there were two friends Jay and Veeru who were there for each other till death. Jay sacrificed his life to save his friend.

Friends never run away from difficulties: in movies, it is always shown that true friends always stand up for their friends in times of difficulties.

Understanding: in movies, friends understand each other without even saying a word. A single smile can brighten up the faces of all the friends.

Wang Ming is 13 years old. He lives in the countryside in Suining. Today is his birthday. His parents make a nice dinner for him, but he says, "I don't want to have the dinner because my parents will leave me after the dinner. I don't want to let them go."

Wang Ming has the birthday with his parents for the first time in the past eight years. Eight years ago, his parents went to Fujian to work. They stayed and worked there.They have to go back to Fujian tomorrow. Wang Ming is not the only stay-at-home child（留守儿童）.In the country of China, there are many children staying at home without (没有) their parents. 

Stay-at-home children have a lot of problems. Most of them stay with their grandparents. Some of them don't study well because their parents can't help them with their study. But most of them study hard and are good with their classmates at school.

The Chinese government now is trying to solve their problems.

①Eleuthera is a great place for people to enjoy pineapples. There is a big festival—— Eleuthera Pineapple Festival. It has a history of over 30 years. It is in early June on the Island of Eleuthera. The festival of 2024 is from 7 June to 8 June. Every year people from all over the Bahamas and other places come here to enjoy this festival. Delicious foods and drinks are everywhere at the festival. Everyone can find something to enjoy.

②Not only the foods and drinks, there are also many interesting activities(活动) for visitors to enjoy. One fun activity is the pineapple- eating race. People must eat a pineapple without using their hands. The one who eats up the pineapple first wins.

③Visitors can also make different kinds of foods like cakes, salads, juices and ice cream by using pineapples. Some people try the dishes and find the best one as the winner. Another cool activity is the music show. Some musicians sing and play music there. You can watch them sing and dance to the music together.

④For the people who live in the Island of Eleuthera, the festival is also a big thing. They show and se ll beautiful things that are made with their hands. Some people sell food and drinks. Some even ask the visitors to have meals with them.

Last Friday, my friend Deborah asked me if I would like to learn how to make tofu. I couldn't think of any good reason not to be interested in, so I said: "Yes". So the next day I met her and other three nice people and went to Hodo Soy Beanery in Oakland, I enjoyed the trip. And I learned a lot from the trip. The following is what I learned.

Tofu has a history of 2,000 years. Although the word "tofu" is from Japanese, the food may come from China. There are two main kinds of tofu: soft tofu (软豆腐) and firm tofu (硬豆腐). In some parts of Asia (亚洲), people use tofu as a kind of meat.

Douhua is one kind of soft tofu. It is a popular breakfast food in China. Because it is very soft, people can't eat it with chopsticks, but with a spoon. People often eat it as a dessert (甜点) and often add spring onions and sauce (酱油) to it. In Malaysia people usually eat douhua with white or dark sugar water.
