Long March(长征) exhibition

The Shanghai History Museum is putting on an exhibition to remember the Long March which took place over 70 years ago. More than 220 photos and 40 other things are on show. All the exhibition is explained in Chinese. The show will end on November 20.

Thai elephants

Eight elephants from Thailand are an attraction for visitors at Changfeng Park by riding bikes, playing basketball, dancing and blowing a musical instrument. The elephants give three shows a day at 9:30 am, 3:30 pm and 8:00 pm and there is an extra show at 1:30 pm at weekends. The show will end on November 15.

Dancing dolphins

Dolphins jumping from the water to touch a ball, dancing to music, kissing people and doing easy maths problems, and seals and sea lions, also performing, have made a large part of the aquarium(水族馆) in Peace Park, which interests children greatly.

Hours: 10:30 am, 4:00 pm, and 7:30 pm

Ticket: 20 yuan for adults and 10 yuan for children

Do you feel lonely when your best friend isn't around? It can be tough, but don't worry. There are ways to deal with it. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. 

It's hard when a best friend isn't around—maybe because he or she moved to a different school or a different class. You may feel left out during break (间歇) or lunchtime. You want to make new friends, but how do you find them? Maybe it seems like everybody else already has his or her own friends. But remember, there's always room for more friends. 

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}—think about which kids you'd like to play with during break. Look for chances to say hi to them, smile, and be friendly. Offer (主动提出) to share something or express your appreciation (欣赏) to them. Invite someone to play with you or say "Do you want to sit here?" in the lunchroom. When you're at break, walk over to kids you want to play with, act friendly, and say "Hi, may I join you?" or just join in.

If you have trouble doing this or if you're feeling shy, ask your teacher to help you make new friends. Teachers are usually pretty good at matching people up. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Being kind, being friendly, sharing, saying nice things, offering help—soon, you'll have one, or two, or even more new friends.
