Bob usually gets up at 6:30. Then he goes running. He loves sports. He plays basketball every day. He often has bread, milk and eggs for breakfast. He usually has noodles, fish, chicken and vegetables for lunch or dinner. He can run fast and jump high. Bill doesn't like sports. He likes coke, hamburgers and hot dogs. He doesn't like vegetables. On Sundays, he often gets up at 10:00. He doesn't have breakfast on Sundays.

Mike and Sarah have a busy weekend. Mike plays tennis in the morning. Sarah is very {#blank#}1{#/blank#}in the morning because she can  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}her new dress. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Sarah is not happy in the afternoon. Mike jumps into the water and makes her dress dirty. At night, Mike breaks Sarah's teddy bear. She is very {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Later, Sarah sees a spider (蜘蛛). She is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}of it."Oh, no!"she shouts.

Sandy is a taxi driver in London.She tells us about her work and some of her experiences.

 1 did you start？

I've been a taxi driver for about five years.Before that，I was a bus driver in London，and I enjoyed it，but I wanted to be more independent，so 2 and started driving my taxi.

Have you ever had any famous passengers？

Oh yes. I've had film stars, politicians, you know, some famous people. About a year ago, a really famous actor got into my taxi. I took him to the airport. There was 3 traffic and we spent a long time getting there, so he missed his plane. It wasn't my fault but when he got out of the taxi, he said some things that were not very 4 to me! I said to him,  "Next time，take a bus!"

Have passengers ever 5 anything in your taxi？

Oh yes, all kinds of things in here, a suitcase, a hat, mobile phones of course, even a dog once! Years ago, a woman forgot a pair of shoes on the back seat. And one time some teeth here! Not real teeth of course, false teeth. And people have asked me to do some strange jobs. Once a doctor stopped me outside a hospital and asked me to take a skeleton （骨架） to the hospital in the countryside. And I did.But I asked the doctor to pay 6 the skeleton couldn't pay after all.

What's the worst part of your job？

Good question. I've always enjoyed being a taxi driver.But of course，sometimes，it's not great.I don't like driving around without a passenger, but it's better than just

 7 passengers at the airport or at a railway station.

Rainy days don't have to get you down, a happiness expert has claimed.

Paul Dolan, Professor of Behavioral Science at the London School of Economics, said that people only feel miserable in bad weather because they think about it too much. Studies have shown that people who live in warm, sunny climates are no happier than those in chilly, wet climates, he said.

 So the British talking about the weather may be making us gloomier(沮丧的) than the weather itself.

 He said, "A study was done that measured the happiness levels of people in California compared to the Northwest."

"They expected that people in California would be happier because it is sunnier, but they found that levels of happiness were exactly the same."

"If it is sunny every day, you get used to it and the sunshine doesn't make you any happier."

"Most of the time the weather doesn't affect our well-being at all. But when we think about it, and think that it does, that's when we get miserable."

 In his new book, Happiness By Design, Dolan argues that we can think ourselves happy by taking our attention away from what makes us sad.

"Most of our anxieties come from what might be," he argues. "If you want to be happier, pay attention to the things that make you feel good."

 He also claimed that a problem shared was not always a problem halved(减半). He claimed that humans are actually very good at being able to get over tragedy and loss.

 Professor Dolan also admitted for the first time that he had a stammer(口吃), which had made his early life miserable. He claimed it only got better when he learned not to pay attention to his speech problem.

"Things are never as bad as you imagine them being," he said.
