Hello, I am Paul. I'm a new student in Huizhou No. 17 Middle School. There are six buildings in my school. There is a big playground in the middle of our school. On the left of the playground is the classroom building. I have lessons in this building. I have many classmates. Twenty-four of them are girls. Nineteen of them are boys. Our English teacher is Miss Black. She's nice. We like her very much. 

These are Sam and David. We are in the same class and we are good friends. Sam is from a big family. He has one brother and two sisters. David has one little sister, and she is only one year old. I am the only child in my family. We all like doing sports. Football is Sam's favourite sport. David's favourite sport is swimming. I like playing basketball.

We have different dreams（梦想）. Sam wants to be a manger. David wants to be a doctor. I want to be a policeman. What do you want to be in the future（未来）？

Have you ever planted aloe vera(芦荟)? With long and green leaves, the plant usually grows in dry and hot places. 

Aloe vera is a very hard- working plant. It can be used to help with cuts or burns. Aloe vera also cleans the air around it. Bad air can come from the paint on the walls of some houses. Aloe vera can make the air clean again. Aloe vera is also a good plant to have in your room at night when you sleep. The plant can take in the air you breathe out and then give off the clean air that you breathe in. 

Aloe vera is popular for its long life as well. Most of the plants can live for around ten years indoors. However, if they are carefully cared for, they can live for over 20 years. Warm and dry air, lots of bright light, regular watering, and protection from pests and diseases will help them live longer. 

Growing an aloe vera plant at home is very easy! You can buy a plant at a store. Put it in a place with lots of sunlight. Water your plant during the spring, summer and autumn. If you want more aloe vera plants, you can just break off part of the plant and put it into the ground. Then it will grow again. 

Mother Cat has four lovely children. On a sunny day，she is playing games with her children in the park. Later，they are hungry，so she asks her children to get some bananas on the tree，but no one wants to do it. Mother Cat has to do it herself. 

After some hours，Mother Cat gets a lot of bananas. She asks her children，"Who would like to take these bananas home？" But they don't want to do it ， so she takes the bananas back home. After getting home，she asks，"*Who will make fruit salad with the bananas？" They all say

After she makes the salad，she says to them，"who wants to eat the salad？""Me!"， "No，you can't. You don't want to do anything before making the salad. You must know 'No pains

Kim and Ray were close friends. One day, they went on a sea voyage (航行). At first, everything was fine. However, their ship was broken in the middle of the ocean. Kim and Ray left the ship and swam to a nearby island. 

Kim and Ray didn't find anything to eat on the island. They had to pray（祈祷; 祷告） that they could survive (存活). They wanted to know whose prayer would be more powerful. Kim moved to the eastern part of the island and prayed there. Ray went to the western part of the island and prayed there. 

Kim prayed and his prayer came true. He got some meat, fruit and vegetables on the seashore. Several days later, Kim prayed that he could have a ship to take him home. His prayer came true again. There came a ship to take him home. 

As Kim was about to enter the ship, he heard someone speak to him. It was just a voice, "Are you going alone, leaving your friend here?"

Then Kim remembered about Ray. He asked the voice, "May I know who you  are?"The voice answered, "I am the one that answers everyone's prayers. In fact, I was not answering your prayers. I was only answering Ray's prayers. He said 'please make all of Kin's prayers come true. '"

Kim was in tears and rushed to the other side of the island. When he found Ray there, Ray was dying because he didn't have anything to eat. Kim said sorry to Ray, gave him some food and saved his life in time. He realized that Ray's prayer was more powerful. It was because Ray's prayer was totally selfless.
