Zhang Wei is 12 years old and he is in our school, too. His father, 4 Zhang, is our Chinese teacher. Zhang Wei likes black best. His schoolbag and pens are black. Look! 5 black pen on the desk is his. He has really good habits. He gets up at 7: 00 a. m. and he 6 to bed at 10: 00 p. m. 7 favorite food is salad. He likes 8 healthy food. We love sports. He often play s basketball 9 me after school. He is very nice to me. I can 10 ask him for help when I am in trouble (遇到麻烦). I think he is a very good friend.

Liu Zhenxiang, or Dasuo, wanted to be a comedian(喜剧演员) when he was young. In middle school, he turned a story in his Chinese book into a comedy. And it won a prize(奖) in a competition(比赛) for middle school students.

At the age of eighteen, he started a club and wrote comedies for the club. His comedies were very popular with teachers and students.

After he finished the study, Liu decided to work as an actor. However, a friend told him that it was difficult to be a great actor and that he should first find a stable(稳定的) job.

Then Liu started to work in a bank in Shenyang. But he found the job boring. A year later, he decided to do something he really loved.

Liu started to write comedies for a troupe(表演团) in Shenyang for free in his free time. With his help, the troupe joined in an important competition for young actors in China. Because of that, he started to write comedies for TV shows. He worked in the bank in the day and wrote comedies at night. He was tired but happy.

In 2017, Liu joined an online show called Brain Boom. Then he left his job and moved to Beijing. At first, he had a hard time in Beijing, but he didn't lose heart. Later, he joined Super Sketch Show and made a big name.

In the end, Liu made his dream come true.

Nearly everybody enjoys chicken, and the most famous name in chicken is Kentucky Fried Chicken. Mr Sanders, the man who started this1 was not always very rich. At one time, he2 a small gas station next to a highway(公路). Many truck drivers3 there to get gas and take a rest. Mr Sanders realized they were often4 , so he began serving sandwiches and coffee.5 the sandwiches tasted good, and didn't6 too much money, more and more7 came to eat at his place.8 Mr Sanders began to serve fried chicken. People9 it very much, and his new business grew quickly. Not long after, however, another highway was open, and many drivers didn't go to Mr Sanders' restaurant. So he had to10 it. Then he traveled around the country trying to sell his idea of opening fried chicken restaurants. He finally made it. By 1967, there were almost 5000 Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants. And now, when you go to any place in the United States, you will see one. If you like chicken, I'm sure, you' ll enjoy eating Kentucky Fried Chicken.

There was a young man who was in trouble. He went bankrupt （破产） and his wife went away from him. From then on，failure was all that he had seen. Struggling with this，he went into the forest alone. There，he met an old man who had lived there for a long time. He shared his story with the old man and asked "Can you give me one good reason not to give up？"

"Look，" the old man said， "Do you see that fern （蕨类植物） and bamboo there？" "Yes，" the man answered. 

"When I planted the fern and bamboo seeds，I watered them carefully. A few days later，the fern quickly grew from the land，" the old man went on. 

"However，I watered the bamboo seeds for years，it still didn't sprout. But I didn't give up and continued looking after it. In the fifth year，a small sprout came out of the land. After a few months，the tree grew very，very tall. "

"The little bamboo tree had been growing underground in the past four years，developing a root strong enough for its ground growth in the fifth year. If it hadn't done this，it would not be so strong. So you know，all the time you were struggling，you were actually growing strong roots，" the old man said. Finally，the man thanked the old man deeply. Then he left the forest with the hope for life. 

Mama was calling to me. I started awake, realizing it must be nearly midnight. "Mary," she said 1 , "Where's your homework?" Then I remembered I had not finished my homework. "Oh, Mama, I fell asleep," I told her weakly. "Well, your 2 comes first! You'd better finish your work." She said. I dragged myself out of bed. As I did so, I could not help feeling 3 . Why me? Those feelings were nothing new, but I did not give voice to them. With Mama, you didn't argue. You just 4 . I finished my work and gave it to her to check.
