For thousands of years, humans have explored the earth. Nowadays, we are exploring space. Many astronomers (天 文 学 家) are looking for new planets and new places for humans to live in the future. But where do astronomers start looking?

First, astronomers look for a star(恒星),because our own earth moves around a star. More importantly, it is the correct distance(距离) from the Sun for heat and light. So when astronomers have found the star, they look at the planets around it. In recent years, astronomers have found nearly 400 new planets with stars. However, many of these planets are either too near the star or too far away.

Then, if the planet is in a good position(位置), astronomers look for three key things: water, air and rock. Water is important because all life needs water. And plants produce air for humans to breathe and food to eat. Rock is also important, because there is often water under the rock.

After many years of scrutinising, astronomers have found a planet that is similar to the earth. It's Gliese 581g and it's near a star. The astronomers think it has water and rock. Gliese 581g is bigger than the earth. A year on Gliese 581g is only 37 earth days instead of 365. But astronomers do not think these are big differences and some of them think Gliese 581g will be a new earth.

What do you dream of doing in the future? We did a survey about jobs that students are going to do when they grow up. 100 students at the Hill School gave their answers. Here are the results.

35% of the students hope to be famous stars. Some of them like music, so they want to be musicians. Some like sports, so they would like to be basketball or football players.

30% of the students are going to be IT engineers. They think the job must become more and more popular, because the computer and the Internet are changing our life and making our life easier. People can do lots of things on the computer with the Internet, such as shopping and communicating with others.

15% of them hope to be scientists. They decide to try their best to study and they want to make our country stronger and better.

10% of the students plan to start their own businesses (公司). Then they can have more time to do what they want to do and maybe they will make much money one day.

There are other jobs for the students to choose, such as doctors, teachers and drivers. The last ten students decide to choose these jobs.

It's great and important to have a dream. Remember not to give up your dream. One day it may come true.

①"Volunteering（做志愿工作）can make a real difference to the world. It makes you look at the world differently. You see how little things can change a person's life for the better which makes everyone a better person. "Mason，a volunteer said. 

②National Volunteer Week started in 1974 and is held every April. It is a time to thank volunteers for their achievements. t is also a perfect opportunity(机会）to encourage others to take their first step toward becoming a volunteer. Making the decision to take the first step can be the biggest problem，because they often wonder if they will be able to meet the organization's expectations（期望）. Some people fear not knowing anyone else in the group. Not having enough time also stops some from sharing their abilities. The following tips can help if you have some of these worries. 

③Start out 'slowly，don't add too much pressure（压力）. Even a few hours a month can make a big difference in someone's life. 

④Choose an organization （组织)with the same interests and common values. 

⑤Take part in a training meeting for new volunteers，even if it is not asked. 

⑥Work with a experienced volunteer. He volunteered a lot，he can help you increase the confidence and completely understand the organization's expectations. 

⑦Invite a friend or family member to serve. It is a good experience to volunteer with them

⑧Finally，it is most important to enjoy the volunteer experience and to remember that not all volunteer experiences are perfect. If one experience doesn't work, don't give up and you'll surely find the right opportunity. 

⑨Spend some time on' volunteer 'work and you will 'see great' changes in people's lives. As Mason discovered during his volunteer experience, "… little things can change a person's life. "

Go Ape is an adventure park, with shaking bridges, zip wires and Tarzan swings. One of the most important things about the courses is the trees. Chris Miller, tells us what his jobs are and why you should join him in Go Ape. 

 Four students are in the classroom. They are Anna, Tom, Mike and Mary. Their jackets are on the teacher's desk. The jackets are brown, white, red, and blue. But we don't know whose they are. We know the boys' jackets aren't red and the girls' jackets aren't brown. What color is Mary's jacket? We don't know. But we know it's not blue. Tom says, "My jacket is white. " Do you know what color their jackets are?

 Sarah often helped out at her dad's restaurant, but today felt different-she was given the job of serving customers. Excited, she carried a pork steak to Table 6. Her excitement quickly turned to anxiety(焦虑) when she saw Kassy, a popular girl from school, sitting there with her friends. Feeling shy and afraid, Sarah hid herself behind the front desk to avoid being seen by her classmates.

 Thoughshe was an excellent student, Sarah often felt out of place among her wealthy classmates. She remembered how Kassy used to make fun of her and worried that others might do the same to her for working at a restaurant. When Sarah's dad found her hiding, she didn't know what to say. He suggested that she should take a break.

 Turning back to the kitchen, Sarah felt bad for letting her dad down. To her surprise, Tina, one of Kassy's friends, came over and said that she knew how mean Kassy could be. She also praised Sarah for her hard work. Her comfort gave Sarah the strength she needed.

 With confidence, Sarahreturned to the dining area and brought the check to Kassy's table. When Kassy tried to make fun of her, Sarah and Tina did a silly"crab dance" and laughed together. As she crossed the dining room, Sarah realized she didn't feel embarrassed. Whether Kassy liked her family's restaurant or not, it didn't matter.

 As Sarah returned to the front desk, she felt a sense of pride, knowing the restaurant was special to her, no matter whatothers thought. She understood that hard work and kindness were what really mattered. From then on, she started to enjoy her new role with confidence and pride.
