It's Vacation Time

It's time for winter vacation! There are different ways to have great vacations. Let's have a look!

① Playing Vacations

It is fun to go to the seaside. You can swim in the sea or make sandcastles on the beach. Going g to mountains for walks or hiking is enjoyable, too. You can see green mountains and breathe fresh air there.

② Learning Vacations

You may like a learning vacation. You can travel to different museums and learn about history; art or science there. You can also learn by visiting historic sites, such as famous old buildings and old houses.

③     ?       

It is a good chance for you to help others in your vacation. You can help the scientists to make surveys about animals or plants. You can be a volunteer in public places. Helping old people in the community is also meaningful.

④ Visiting Relatives

Visiting relatives（亲戚）is a popular vacation. Maybe some of your relatives live in different places. You may live in the city; and your cousins may live on a farm. You can learn about country life when you visit them.

You can try these ways to enjoy your vacation. Which way do you like best? What are you going to do during your vacation?

Many people like travelling by plane, but I don't like it because airports are usually far from cities. You have to get there early and w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} for hours for the plane to take off and it is often late. Planes are fast, b{#blank#}2{#/blank#} it still takes hours to check in(办登机手续) and get out of the airport.

I like travelling by train. I think trains are safe. Railways stations are usually in cities. When you are l{#blank#}3{#/blank#} for a train, you can catch another one. You can walk around in the train and open the window. You can see many interesting things on your way, too. 

I a {#blank#}4{#/blank#}like cars. You can start your journey(旅程) when you want to, and you don't need to get to the railway station or a bus stop. You can also carry many things with you. But sometimes there is a traffic j{#blank#}5{#/blank#} on the road and you will feel you're wasting time on the road.

The kitty and the doggy are good friends. The kitty is funny. The doggy is friendly.

 It's sunny and windy. They fly kites together in the park.

 It's rainy. They play with yellow yo-yos in the study. They are always happy together.

Look at the animals. What is it? It is a mouse. The mouse is small.

What are they? They are squirrels. Squirrels have nice tails.

Here, what is it? It's a rabbit. The rabbit has long ears.

In the water, what are they? They are frogs. Frogs can jump

Near us, what is it? It's a cat. The cat is cute.

And there, what are they? They are dogs. Dogs are friendly.
