There was a small river in Gu Ye's village．It {#blank#}1{#/blank#}through the middle of the village．It was small{#blank#}2{#/blank#}it was very clean．So people often washed clothes and vegetables there．

     In summer,Gu Ye often{#blank#}3{#/blank#}with his friends there．And they could catch fish after it rained heavily．At that time，there were some{#blank#}4{#/blank#}on the river．They would like to take a rest under the flees．The birds also liked playing there．It was{#blank#}5{#/blank#}a beautiful picture,right?

    Grace is my friend .This is her {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. In it, you can see her {#blank#}2{#/blank#} everywhere. She {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a soccer ball under her chair, two {#blank#}4{#/blank#} under her desk and three basketballs under her {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. She also has some ping-pong balls and ping-pong{#blank#}6{#/blank#}in her bag. Grace loves sports. She thinks they're {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. But she does not{#blank#}8{#/blank#}them. Playing sports is difficult {#blank#}9{#/blank#} her. She {#blank#}10{#/blank#} watches them on TV.

     Most people have goals(目标). A goal is something we want to do, or want to have or someone we want to be. A student's goal, for example, might be to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the tests, go to university, and then get a good job. A player's goal could be to win an important match. A businessman's goal is usually to make a lot of money.

     Not all goals are about success at work, however. Some people just want to be good people, have a family, or help {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

     Carl's goal is to be a fireman. He wants to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} people from fires as many as possible. He likes most sports. Swimming as well as playing football is his favourite.

     Tracy's goal is to be a pianist. She is very serious about it and practises every day with her best friend Lily. It is very important to her.

     Harry's goal {#blank#}4{#/blank#} every day! One day he wants to be an astronaut. The next day he wants to be a pop singer. Then he wants to drive a racing car. His mother would be {#blank#}5{#/blank#} if his goal was to get up on time for school every day!

    I began writing to pen friends when I was only 11 years old. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#}with a disability(残疾)that left me in a wheelchair since I was a little young boy.

    My mother helped me find my first pen friend. I still write to him to this day. He lives in Germany. He is two years older than me.

    I never felt sad after finding pen friends. While all of the other kids were riding bikes or skateboarding, I would {#blank#}2{#/blank#} sit in my room and write to my pen friends. My pen friends means{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to me because I can learn about the world and other {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, share beautiful photos, and most of all, make new friends.
