Long time ago, children didn't have smart phones, iPads or computers to play with. However, they thought of interesting games to play. Let's take a look. 

Zhalong(扎龙) is a nature reserve（保护区） in Heilongjiang in north-east China. It is one of the world's most important wetlands. The reserve covers an area of 210,000 hectares. The area provides food and shelter for wildlife. It is an ideal home for different kinds of plants, fish and birds.

Many birds live comfortably in Zhalong Nature Reserve all year round, while some only stay there for a short time. There are many fish in the wetlands, and the birds can easily catch them for food. Zhalong has long been called "the home of the crane". There are 15 crane species (物种) in the world. Eight of them are in China and there are 6 species in Zhalong area. It is an important living area for the rare red-crowned cranes. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world. Every spring and summer, red-crowned cranes lay and hatch (孵化) their eggs in Zhalong.

Some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms and buildings. This means there will be less and less space for wildlife. More and more birds are in danger because they do not have enough living space. Many of them died. The Chinese government wants to protect these endangered birds, and they can be safe in Zhalong.

Every year, a lot of tourists go to Zhalong to watch birds. This year, members of our Bird-watching Club are going to study the different kinds of birds in Zhalong and the changes in their numbers. The study begins next month.

I enjoy watching TV shows, and here is my favorite one.

One day a man saw an old lady standing by her expensive car, clearly in need of help. So he stopped his old truck and got out. Although he was smiling, the old lady was worried. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe.

The man could see that she was frightened, so in his friendliest voice he said. "I'm here to help you, madam. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson."Bryan quickly fixed the car and the lady thanked him. Then she asked how much she should pay him.

But Bryan wanted no money. He was just giving a hand to someone in trouble. This was normal for him. He said, "If you really want to repay me, next time you see someone in need, help them and hink of me."

After saying goodbye, the lady continued down the road until she reached a small café where she decided to stop for something to eat. As the pretty waitress took her order, the lady noticed she was nearly eight months pregnant. Although the waitress looked tired she was very kind. As the lady was going to pay the $10 bill she remembered Bryan's words.

She paid with a hundred-dollar bill. But when the waitress returned with the change the lady was gone. On the table she saw a small note. There were tears in her eyes when she read it, "Somebody once helped me the way I'm helping you. If you want to pay me back, continue being kind to others." Under the note were nine more $100 bills.

Was the old lady an angel? The waitress was so excited that she called her husband to tell him the news. "Bryan Anderson my dear... you're not going to believe what just happened..."

A tiny forest is a small area of closely planted, fast growing local trees. It is created to copy a natural forest.bringing all its benefits, but for a small space in cities. The first tiny forest was planted by a Japanese plant expert, Dr. Akira Miyawaki in the 1970s. It was so great that it grew quickly in countries such as Denmark. Britain Germany, Ireland and Spain.

As the name suggests, the place doesn't have to be big. An area the size of about 200 m2 is perfect. 600 trees with as many as 40 different kinds, can be planted in the place. With 2 to 7 trees every square metre, the trees are planted much more closely than the ones in normal forests. But there's still room for the trees to grow naturally without the use of fertilizers(肥料)

To plant a tiny forest, one starts with testing the soil and choosing right kinds of trees. In cities, the soil is often in poor condition. It is important to create loose and rich soil. When the soil is prepared, the community will invite school children on a planting day. The forests need 2 to 3 years of care from children. Then the trees can become self-growing. It's believed if children plant their own forest and spend a lot of time caring for it, they will grow up to be healthy adults with a sense of responsibility for the society.

Trees and forests aren't special pieces of nature that should only exist in the countryside. They need to be apart of life in cities too

 Years ago, Neil Ansell lived in a house in the Welsh mountains. He didn't have a phone, and in the five years he lived there alone, not a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (单个) person walked by. 

 When he returned to society, Ansell had to change on his own to make him suitable for the new situation. "What I found difficult was the amount of talking. " Ansell said, "and a{#blank#}2{#/blank#} thing I noticed was that I started to lose my sense of who am I. "

 Could social distancing influence our social skills? In fact, the question isn't only about how many people you can reach out to. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(而不是), it's about how you consider your situation. "Solitude"(独处) involves being alone without being lonely, just like Ansell. But" loneliness" is a very different situation, in which a person wants more social connection. 

 However, it s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} that escaping from society might lead to some unexpected results. For example, people who feel lonely are usually more likely to make social mistakes — such as saying the w{#blank#}5{#/blank#} thing. 

 Teenagers with a preference for spending time alone might have poorer social skills. And research has shown that, while some people might think that they prefer being alone, in fact, they enjoy connecting with others, even with total {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(陌生人). 

 Maybe we need social practice. Communicating with others teaches us to feel valued and helps us to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (正确) understand others, which helps us to have more positive social experiences.
