We have a big playground in our school. We all like to 1 games there.It's Friday. We only have two classes 2 the afternoon. When school is over,a lot of students and teachers go to the playground. Look! The boys of Grade Two are 3 a basketball match. Some girls are 4 it and shouting. On the other side of the playground, many 5 are playing football. Football is their favorite 6 . They can teach well, and they can play football well, too. How about Li Ming, Li Lei and Wei Fang? They are students of Grade One. They are playing 7 . They are on the school volleyball team and they play it really well. They 8 win! It's half past five now. It's time to 9 . The students all leave the playground. We are happy because tomorrow is a 10 Saturday.

September 27^th is World Tourism Day. Every year, people around the world celebrate it by travelling. Students join tours and share their favourite places. 

I have been a writer for the school newspaper the Dagligtale, since my first day here at the University of Alberta. I probably won't work as a reporter after I finish university, but this doesn't mean my experience as a reporter has been useless. In fact, I have learned something important through this job.

I still remember my first news story. It was about the winning of the school baseball team. I came to the celebration and was told to do some interviews (采访). I was afraid. Talking to people I don't know was one of my worries. But I tried my best and did it. I talked to the students, the players and the team leader. It was something I had never dreamed of doing before. This experience made me believe in myself and helped me to improve my social skills (社交技能).

As a student reporter, I have learned to do research and to think carefully about what I read. Finding out the facts is important when you are writing for the school newspaper, but in the Information Age, this is also a useful skill in everyday life.

As a student reporter, I always know that I have a lot to learn. I'm never afraid of asking people for advice. I have learned how to use it to make improvements to myself.

To be a reporter is not easy, but I'm thankful that I have had the chance (机会) to try my hand at it. It has taught me to be a better storyteller, student and citizen. If you are ever given a chance to write for a school newspaper or magazine, take it and learn everything you can!

One day, a(n) 1 woman came in the store where I worked. I welcomed her to the store, and she immediately started up a conversation, telling me her name was Barbara and asking me about my day. I stepped out to walk with her and nodded along while she 2 .

As we chatted, Barbara stopped to look at a shirt, "I really like the pattern. I used to wear colors like this when I was younger."

I asked, "Oh? What changed?"

Barbara chuckled (轻笑). "Well, as I started to get older, these sorts of clothes just didn't look good on me anymore. Maybe it will 3 for you, since you're a very pretty young girl."

"Don't say that, Barbara! You're still very beautiful."

Laughing, Barbara replied, "Thank you, sweet girl, but it's all right. I'll just 4 to what I normally wear. Patterns like this are made for young people like you."

I always hate it when older people believe their 5 is ugly. Older women buy wrinkle (皱纹) correctors, dye (染) the white and silver out of their hair, and do everything they can to cover their age until they 6 and say to themselves, "I'm just old and ugly now."

I don't see things that way at all. So, I 7 her to try it on.

When Barbara stepped out of the dressing room, I was 8 . The dress fit her 9 perfectly, the colors brought out the warmth in her skin, and most importantly, she looked really, really happy in it. She didn't just like the dress; she liked HERSELF in the dress, clearly feeling more 10 . She even turned in a circle to show us how the skirt flared (展开)!

Before Barbara left, she said, "Thank you for making me feel forty years younger today."

There was a class of students who were very unruly (难管教的). None of the teachers wanted to teach them. So the headmaster had to call a teacher named Nancy who had just given up {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (she) job at a different school. He asked Nancy if she would like to come in and teach at the school {#blank#}2{#/blank#} one term. She agreed quickly {#blank#}3{#/blank#} thinking twice.
