Some volunteers in Egypt（埃及） are teaching the children of refugee(难民 ){#blank#}1{#/blank#} from many African countries.

Chris Rupke teaches at the African Hope School in Ma'adi,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} town near Cairo. Rupke says that some of the children he teaches{#blank#}3{#/blank#}one or both of their parents. Rupke adds that one boy was so badly influenced {#blank#}4{#/blank#}his experience that he was unable to speak. Then, a psychologist（心理学家） at the school got him to draw pictures of everything that had happened before.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, after {#blank#}6{#/blank#}the pictures and working with the psychologist, the boy started to talk. Now, the boy is much {#blank#}7{#/blank#} than before.

Teacher Jean-Pie has worked at the African Hope School {#blank#}8{#/blank#} 2003.

Jean-Pie said that when he began, he met 6 refugee children under Cairo's bridges and in its public gardens. He tried his best{#blank#}9{#/blank#} them to come to school. At the refugee schools, most classesare taught in English. The students learn Maths, Arabic, Science, etc.

All the teachers there are nice and responsible（有责任感的）. They hope what they have done can really make a big{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to those refugee children.

It was a Sunday morning. Helen and Jim were taking a walk on a beach. It was a quiet beach and there were no other people. They felt very relaxed and happy, walking in the sunshine.

Then Jim saw a bottle (瓶子) on the beach. He picked it up and found something in it. He took it out. Helen ran to look and said, "Wow! A treasure (宝藏) map! Let's follow it." 

"OK. We are here and the treasure is here. Let's go! I'll read," said Jim.

"Walk north 100 meters. Stop at a big tree. Turn right and then go straight. Stop when you get to the river. Cross the bridge. Turn left and walk along the river. Stop in front of a big rock (岩石). The treasure is behind the big rock."

"Here!" Jim said excitedly.

"There is a box!" said Helen. In the box was a very old note (便条).

Jim and Helen were disappointed and had to go back.

 Last Saturday, we went to Yan' an Revolutionary Memorial Hall(延安革命纪念馆) with our teacher. We had great fun taking the bus and talking with our friends in such fi ne weather. It took us about half an hour to get there. We spent all day visiting there. I was excited to learn more about the history of this place.

 There are nine revolutionary memorial halls. Revolutionists (革命先辈) left a lot of important things there. So it is a very important revolutionary place. After listening to the guide, we knew a lot about the history and spirit (精神) of Yan' an. They are so great. I want to know more from this visit.

 In one of the halls, Ma Mei, my classmate, used her phone to take videos (视频) and photos of the old things. She wanted to show these videos to her parents. I also took some photos. I wanted to tell some stories to my younger sister, because I was really moved (感动) by Yan' an spirit. We live a happy life now because of these revolutionists, so we must show our thanks to them by studying hard for a more beautiful country.

I used to hate running. At secondary school I found it very tired to run around the sports field and I was always one of the 1 students to cross the finish line. Then, in 2020, my friend asked me to run with him. My 2 was, " No way!I hate running".

 During the weekend I thought about his question. " Why do I hate running?" I thought, In the end I decided to 3 it. I told my friend I would like to run with him. He was 4 to hear that. He advised me to look for a running program on the Internet to 5 me learn how to run. There were lots of running programs on the Internet. I 6 a 14- week running program. I would attend a match when I finished the program. I had to run three times a week. At first, I ran for short periods of 7 and had long breaks. Then 8 the weeks went on, I had to run far longer periods of time and the breaks got 9 . I enjoyed following the running program each week. Now I can run for 10 than 30 minutes each time!I went from 11 running to loving running.

 On the day of the 12 I was both excited and nervous. 13 was finally time to put my new skills into practice. My friends and family came to support me. It was lovely to have them there. With their support and my training. I managed to finish the 10000- metre run in 72 minutes. I was very 14 of that.

 From this experience I 15 it was a good idea to try something before saying I hated it! Because it turned out that I really enjoyed running.

This heartfelt (诚挚的) message {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (write) on a sanitary bag of a high-speed train by a college girl. The next day, a passenger in the same seat discovered the message. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} passenger posted it online with a reply, "How {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (luck) we are to meet across time and space! I hope you can do well in the interview. I wish you all the best." This communication {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (catch) people's attention and touched their hearts. The sanitary bag became the carrier of the college girl's dream and hope.

Under the post, people shared their views, and many college students also expressed their {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (feel) about school interviews. Later, the college girl read the post and shared {#blank#}6{#/blank#} she did it. She was nervous on her way to an important school interview, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} she wrote the message to pour out her feelings. The good news is that she has been admitted (录取) to her dream school. And she thanked the stranger for his encouragement {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (polite) and hoped other students could go to their dream schools, too. The railway staff explain that if the sanitary bags {#blank#}9{#/blank#} messages are intact (完好无损的) and clean, they usually do not replace them. "We hope these special notes on sanitary bags can brighten {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (passenger) journeys." says a staff person.
