Long ago there were no airplanes.It was1 for men to fly because men had no wings.But a young man wanted to fly so much.Every day he looked at the2 in the sky and hoped to fly like them.Then he had an idea.He wanted to3 some wings.He tried many4 that he could find and at last，he used feathers（羽毛） and wax （蜡），he5 up to the top of a mountain and put on the wings.Then he jumped off the mountain.So he flew above the clouds and saw the sun.But he flew too near the sun and it was too hot.Suddenly the wax on his wings melted.The wings were on fire.He fell and fell and finally he fell into the sea.6 ，he was alive and continued inventing wings which could make him fly.Of course，this is just a beautiful legend!

In the United States, Mother's Day is a holiday on the second Sunday in May. It is a day when children give their mothers {#blank#}1{#/blank#} , presents and flowers.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother's Day is to give your mother the day off. Let her {#blank#}2{#/blank#} while other members of the family do the housework.

Many families begin Mother's Day with breakfast in bed. Usually dad and the children will let mum sleep late as they go into the kitchen and get ready for the favourite meal. After the food is cooked, keep everything nice on a plate. With spring here, the children can pick up the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} flower from the garden outside. When everything is ready, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} carry the plate and mum's favourite books or newspapers up to her bedroom.
