Today we talk about the three Chinese gods who often appear in the Spring Festival. They are Zaoshen, Caishen and Menshen.

Zaoshen (the Kitchen God) {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (consider) the most important family god in China, who takes charge of people's diet and oversees the good or evil of each family. It is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (wide) believed that on the 23rd or 24th day of the twelfth lunar month, Zaoshen returns to heaven {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (report) the activities of each family over the past year to the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor either rewards or punishes a family based {#blank#}4{#/blank#} that report. Most of the Chinese people worship Zaoshen on that day,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} they hope that he will mention more good things and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (few) bad things in front of the Jade Emperor.

Caishen (the God of Wealth) is the god in charge of money. In China, people believe there are several Gods of Wealth, among who Zhao Gongming is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (popular). He has a black face, holds a gold ingot(金元宝) in his left hand and rides on {#blank#}8{#/blank#} back of a black tiger. In some regions, people believe Zhao's birthday is the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (five) day of the first lunar month. On that day, they will open their doors to welcome him.

Many Chinese people also believe in Menshen (the Door God). The representatives of Menshen are Qin Shubao and Yuchi Gong. The Chinese believe that they can protect their homes and prevent evil things {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (enter) their homes. During the Spring Festival, people paste new pictures of Menshen on their doors to welcome the new year.

We all study in the classroom in the school, but what are classrooms like in different countries?

In China, children have a fixed (固定的) classroom. In a classroom, you can see desks and chairs in lines. There are usually about 40 or more students in every class. They always face the blackboard.

In the UK, most classrooms are similar. There are usually about 30 students in every class. Usually, two children have a long desk.

In the US, classrooms usually have single (单人的) desks for every student. There are about 15-25 students in a class. The US children don't have a fixed classroom. They always go to different classrooms when the classes are different.

Students in Japan have a fixed classroom and they have single desks, too. At the back of the classroom, there are places for students' clothes. At the gate of the school building, there are places for their shoes.

A simple honk(汽车喇叭声) from the bus is a secret code(暗号) between the driver and the   students living in a far- away village in Wanzhou, Chongqing. 

Mr Cheng, a bus driver, notices a schoolbag hanging on the door of an old house. He stops and honks to answer the" code". After a moment, a boy rushes outside and gets on the bus. The boy's parents work far from home, leaving him in the care of his grandmother. Though the boy is separated from his parents, he is trying hard in his study. Whenever the boy's schoolbag is hanging outside the house, it" tells" Mr Cheng that the student needs to catch the bus. Mr Cheng says that plenty of left- behind children(留守儿童) need to take the bus. He knows that his role(角色) is very important in their lives.

My name is Cindy. I think the house where I live is beautiful and comfortable.

So far, China has successfully sent a large number of satellites(卫星) and spaceships into space. Space scientists have been greatly inspired(赋予灵感) by the old stories and ancient famous people when giving them names.

 Since thousands of years ago, Chinese people have dreamed of going to the moon. Chang' e flies to the Moon is one of the most popular stories. As you can see, China's first man-made satellite to circle around the moon was named Chang' e I. More interestingly, the moon rover(巡视器) was named after the Jade Rabbit, who is the partner of Chang' e in the story. These old stories carry people' s best wishes and dreams. With the development of science and technology, our scientists have made them come true.

 Kuafu Runs After the Sun is another story to show how much ancient Chinese people wanted to know about the unknown world. Now, Kuafu is going with the scientists to"visit" the sun, because we have a space project called Kunfu Mission.

 Besides the ancient stories, space scientists also get ideas from ancient famous people. For example, Mori, an ancient scientist, discovered that light travels in a straight line over 2,000 years ago. His discovery made space study take a big step at that time. So, China's first quantum(量子) science satellite was named Mozi, making China the first country in the world to achieve quantum communication between satellites and the ground.

 From such simple things as giving names to the satellites, we can see how great our traditional culture is and what influence it has on our modern science and technology(科技).
