Alice is a 6- year- old girl. She likes drawing(画画) very much.

 One day, after the rain(雨), she goes out with her father and her dog Coco.

" It's a rainbow. How many colors can you see, my dear?" asks her father.

" That's easy. We have the three colors. Let me help you. Red and yellow can make orange. Put(放) yellow into blue, and we can get green. Blue and red can make purple."

" Wow, that's interesting! I have seven colors now. I can draw a rainbow. Thanks, Dad!"

 With the help of her father, Alice draws a great rainbow. She is so happy!

Wang Jibing is a 55-year-old deliveryman (外卖员). Since 2009, Wang has written over 4, 000 {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

Wang said that delivering food allowed him to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} with more people and experience more things. "I enjoy my job {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a deliveryman. It greatly inspires me. " Wang's poem People in a Hurry, which made {#blank#}9{#/blank#} well-known online, is based on an unpleasant food delivery experience in 2019. Because the customer left the wrong {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, he had to rush several times to get the food delivered. It also made other orders late. 

On his way back from work, he wrote, "People in a hurry have no seasons, only from last station to the next. " He said writing this poem made him feel more comfortable. 

Both cats and dogs are popular pets (宠物). Most families, however, can keep only one pet. It can be hard to decide to take a cat or a dog into your home. Here, some middle school students are having a cats VS dogs debate (辩论). 

Group A: Donna Walker   We think cats are better for most families. Many people want to keep a pet, but they live a busy life. People don't have to take cats outside to use the bathroom. Instead, they just use a litter box. Their owners (主人) only need to keep the litter box clean. They don't need to worry if they are away at work for most of the day.

Group A: Paula Lee   Yeah, dogs make so much noise! Some dogs bar k at almost every stranger, but are there so many bad men? Cats, however, are quiet most of the time. 

Group B: Eric Bell   Dogs can be trained well. Cats have claws (爪子) and they are interested in everything. They can cause much more trouble!

Once I got lost in the forest with my father. The sky got dark and we were worried，for it was our first time walking into that forest.

We didn't have any tools to show us the direction. My father and I had no choice but to put up a tent near a river to spend the night. When night fell, the stars came out, lighting the whole sky. That was when an idea came to my mind. As a member of the Astronomy (天文学) Club in school, I was able to tell different groups of stars in the sky. If we could find the North Star, we could find out which direction was north.

After I picked out the North Star, we found the north direction. We walked north and then saw a house. We went to the owner of the house to ask for directions. With his help, we made our way out of the forest. From this experience, I learned how important it is to use the knowledge that we have got to solve the problems we meet.

 It's breakfast time. You reach for the milk, but a voice says, "Don't drink that!" Your fridge knows the milk is old and tells the supermarket to replace it. Ten minutes later, it's delivered by a drone(无人机).

 As you leave for work, the lights turn off by themselves. Your home goes into"sleep" mode to save energy. In 2045, cars drive themselves, so you just tell your driverless car where you want to go.

 Will all this come true? Perhaps the future is much closer than we think.
