I had a summer camp with my classmates last year. 

Early in the morning, we gathered(集合) at the bus station. After saying goodbye to our parents, we got on the buses. It took us more than two hours to arrive at the campground. 

We got off the buses cheerfully. Laughing and shouting, we jumped and ran all over the place. It was the first time for us to be away from the parents. Some of us started to feel homesick(想家的). However, when the night party and dances began, the homesickness was gone. 

The next day, everyone rushed to the boating class, hoping to be at the head of the others. At first, my friends and I worked hard, but the boat wouldn't listen to us and kept going round and round. Then the teacher taught us how to work together. After many tries, we did much better, 

Swimming class was my favourite. It was about the hottest time of a day and the best time to stay in the cool water. The swimming teacher was a funny man, and during the class he often made us laugh happily. 

During the week I learnt a lot of new things and made many new friends. I also learnt how to take care of myself. 

I love eating persimmons (柿子). But people can't get them in summer. If people try them before the right time, they probably taste bad.

Mom was worried because {#blank#}1{#/blank#} my poor grades. She {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (wonder) whether I could go to high school or not. Summer came and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} hot sun shone all day. It made me feel {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (sleep). When I wanted to stop studying, Mom would shout, "If you give up now, you will regret it!" I sat well to study again.

Mom always said to me with a serious look on {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(she) face, "You won't get any fruit in autumn unless the persimmon tree {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (grow) in summer!" Although I didn't like it at that time, I {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (slow) understood mom's words. I took {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (act) and worked hard.

Several {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (month) later, I got into the key high school. It was autumn. I could see a few persimmon trees in the school yard. I realized that working hard might be bitter (苦的), {#blank#}10{#/blank#} its fruit was sweet.

Last Saturday was a great day. We felt the 1 of the world that day. 

While Bob and I went across a bridge, something caught our 2 . On a large rock (岩石) in the centre of a small river, something was3 . 

"What's that little thing?" Bob asked. 

4 , a father and son went onto the bridge. 

"Dad, that's a baby bird!" he called to 5 father. 

The baby bird 6 on the large rock in the fast- moving water. It sat there, wet and shaking. It felt 7 .

Bob and I also 9 to save the bird. While climbing down the bank (河岸), we saw the father already standing in the water10 holding his son's hand. Bob also stepped into the water while the boy nearly fell. 

The river is a little deep. What's 11 , mud (泥) round the river rocks made walking more difficult. The father helped his son back up. 

"Maybe I can get it," Bob said. He was 12 there when an underwater rock stopped him.

Then the father was back in the water 13 . He held Bob's hand and Bob got the baby bird finally. The boy 14 and the two men walked hand in hand. Getting to the river bank, they took the little wet bird to a 15 place. It jumped several times. This is the first time I have saved a bird. I feel good!
