Five years ago，I worked in an office. The work was easy and I enjoyed it. One day at lunch，I went out to buy a hamburger in a store near a park. It was sunny so I decided to eat it in the park.

I saw some people making a movie there. It looked like that they were having some problems. Then they looked at me and two of them walked to me!They said that one of their actors hadn't come. "He only has one line in the story，"they said. "Would you like to have a try？"

I'd never done any acting in my life，but I said yes. An hour later we finished. It was so interesting. The people thanked me and gave me some money for my time. As I was leaving，the director（导演）came over and gave me his card. He said I could be a good actor. I was happy and I told him I would call him sometime.

Well，I did call him. And I went for an audition（试镜）for another short movie by the same director. And I got the work.

Two years later，I left my office work and I'm now working as an actor. I love the work and I'm going to a school next year to study acting.

My life is now different. And it's all because of the lunch in the park!Life is full of surprises and you never know what will happen.

Nick is a 14-year-old schoolboy.  His  life  is  full  of exams  and  studies  on weekdays. He    has little free time.    He thinks playing computer games is the best way to relax. When he has free time, he sits in front of the computer. Just like that, he doesn't eat or drink for several(几个) hours.

I started learning English at the 1 of 22. It is kind of 2 to start studying a language. However, age is never a problem if you really want to 3 something.

I was preparing myself to study engineering in the USA. To enter my dream university, I had to 4 a TOEFL score of 90 or higher. After careful thought, I signed up for a six-month program to study English.

It was difficult to get 90 in six months for someone who started learning English from the very beginning, but I decided to have a try. In order to join the 5 ,I moved to a different city and rented (租用) a house with a friend. We were in the same program. We did not have any distractions(使人分心的事物) in 6 house, such as televisions, computers or smartphones.

We had classes every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a lunch break only. After the classes were over, we had something for dinner and started 7 what we had learned and doing homework. We would study 8 we became sleepy and usually, we would finish it by midnight.

My friend and I encouraged each other and we did our best.9 , we 10 got perfect TOEFL scores and went to the USA at last.

China in recent years has experienced serious problems with wasting food. CCTV has reported that the food Chinese people waste every year is enough to food 200 million people for a year. Chinese people are well known for being hospitable(好客的) and generous(慷慨的), Many even feel that they lose face if their guests have eaten all the food, because it seems that they haven't prepared(准备) enough food for their guests.

Luckily, the campaign has got the support of many restaurants. In a restaurant in Xinjiang, the owner gives a sticker to the customers (消费者) who have eaten all that they ordered. People can enjoy a free meal when they have 10 stickers. Besides, more than 750 restaurants in Beijing have begun to offer smaller dishes and encourage their customers to take leftovers home.

To reduce food waste is a big task, and it needs time. It'simportant that everyone should do their bit just like Qi,So did you finish your meals today?

There was a park near my home. But I didn't go there very often. Many people said there was nothing special. One afternoon I went into the park and found it was really small. I walked quickly and found myself standing in front of two paths (小径).

"Which way should I go?" I asked myself. I looked at one way, then the other.The left one was wide and clean. There were lots of flowers on both sides of the path. Though the flowers weren't very beautiful, they made me feel good. I decided to take this path. But wait! I looked at the right one. The path didn't look nice. It seemed it had not been cleaned for months. Grass grew every where. For a long time I couldn't make up my mind.

After a while, a strange feeling made me follow the dirty path. It wasn't nice, but I didn't want to give up. At last, I came to the end of the path. Ah! There was a small garden there. It was beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful garden I had ever seen. There were trees, flowers and chairs. I thought it was the nicest part of the park.

Many people told me that there was nothing much to see in the park. Now I'd like to tell them that if they had followed the right way, they would have felt differently. But when I told them about what I had seen in the park, they just smiled at me without saying a word. ____. They couldn't even remember that path because it was so small.

My trip to the park that day made me understand something about life. Don't be afraid to choose a different path. You may get a big surprise!
