Last summer, our class attended an English camp. We went there 1 from school early in the morning. We 2 the camp at 9 am. They offered a very good 3 to us after we got off the bus. After eating some delicious food, we watched a show. First, a group of musicians performed(表演) several nice songs. Everyone loved their show and 4 . Next, the Cultural Club performed two dances. All the dancers danced very beautifully. Everyone gave a thumbs-up to 5 .

Then, we had some language 6 like Spell-It-Right competition.We were divided into some teams. To 7 the games, we had to work together. While having fun with those games, we 8 learnt new words and made new friends from other schools.

Later in the afternoon, we had a break first. The camp started again at 2 pm. All of us were invited to watch English plays. Then some teachers 9 us how to write plays and prepare props(道具), such as lights and clothes. We also learnt how to act. This 10 was interesting and could help us to be confident.

The last activity was a treasure hunt(寻宝游戏). This game was very 11 because we needed to find clues(线索) to solve all the problems. There were checkpoints(关卡) in each place. We worked very well 12 each other. We studied the map 13 to find the right clues. At last, our team won the game. We were very 14 .

We went back home at 5 pm. 15 we were all tired, we had an unforgettable day.

Leoh Ming Pei, one of the world's best-knownarchitects (建筑师), left over 50 designs during his longcareer. These stand as his gifts to the world. 

The glass pyramid of the Louvre Museum in Paris, France might be Pei's most famous work. Back in the1980s, the Louvre Museum was having trouble with traffic. To solve the problem, Pei planned to dig an undergroundhall and place a glass pyramid on top. Many people didn't like the idea. They said it was too modern for the classical museum. However, the idea turned out to be a success. It is not only the museum's main entrance, but also a huge skylight (天窗). 

In 2006, Pei was invited to build a museum in his hometown Suzhou. He tried to include local and historical ideas in his design. He built small halls with traditional white walls and dark roofs, just like the classical Chinese gardens. Moreover, the lines and windows in the roof bring something modern to the museum. 

The famous Lion Grove Garden (狮子林) in Suzhou used to be owned by Pei's family. Pei spent some summers there as a child. Maybe that was when Pei developed his interest in architecture. Pei spent most of his adult years in the US, first studying at universities and then working in different places. Even though he was trained in the US, the beauty of Chinese Classics was well displayed in many of his designs. "I've never left China because home is a place your heart always belongs to," Pei once said. 

Over the last century, many building trends (潮流) have come and gone. But the works of Pei have not. "A lasting architecture has to have roots." Pei once told The New York Times. That may explain why he and his works have stood the test of time. 

①Understand that learning is not just about memorizing facts from books or listening to teachers talk. Learning is an adventure, and the best way to learn is to explore and experience things on your own. This means asking questions, trying new things, and making mistakes along the way. At times, you might feel frustrated when you don't understand something right away. But remember, it's very normal to struggle while learning. Learning is a process and it usually takes time, and everyone learns at their own pace. If you keep trying and don't give up, you'll finally understand it by yourself. 

②     ▲         Imagine yourself as a scientist, an inventor, or an explorer. Pretend you're on a mission（任务）to find out the mysteries of the world. This can make learning process more exciting and fun. 

③Another important thing to remember is to take breaks when you need them. It's okay to step away from your studies for a while and do something else you enjoy. This can help you relax and recharge, so you'll be ready to deal with your studies with a fresh mind after a break. 

④Lastly, don't be afraid to ask for help when you really need it. Whether it's from a teacher, a parent, or a friend, there are always people who are willing to lend you a hand. Asking for help shows that you're looking forward to learning and improving, and that's something to be proud of. 

⑤So remember, learning is an adventure full of unexpected difficulties. For this reason, it'll be necessary for everyone to enjoy the journey, keep exploring, and never stop asking questions. Who knows what amazing things you'll meet along the way? Each step of learning is a stepping stone toward a brighter future. 

As a traditional and meaningful board game, Weiqi was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and it is still played until today.

The playing pieces are called stones. One player uses the white stones and the other, black. The players take turns to play the stones on the game board. As we know, the board surface has 361 cross points. The stones are placed on them.

Weiqi is also called Go in the world. Learning it can not only improve people's logical thinking ability, but it can also develop their calm character. That's why it is more and more popular with modern people.

In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Weiqi traveled to Japan, and then to Europe in the 19th century. Now it has grown into an international competition event. So far, people from over 40 countries have played it. Among them, players from China, Japan and South Korea have the highest level of Weiqi.

On February 19, Chinese-English Dictionary of Weiqi Term（术语）came out in Beijing. It's the first professional dictionary about Weigi in China. As a symbol of Chinese culture, Weiqi has its special language. It also has its own way of thinking and the method of communicating. The dictionary will serve as a necessary tool and bridge for spreading Weiqi culture.

Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement, it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Then many things about him came into my mind.

Steven was from a poor family. His parents{#blank#}2{#/blank#}not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair. He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's. 

Steven had a gift(天赋) for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class. But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He parctised hard. And I often showed his paintings of the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked . They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. 

Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.
