Success never comes easy. How many of you have heard of successful people who haven't made any effort? People often have to overcome failures {#blank#}1{#/blank#}they can accomplish something great. They usually don't find success from the very beginning.

    Van Gogh sold only one painting during his lifetime, but this didn't stop him from completing over 800 painting. Thomas Edison {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(fire) from his first two jobs for lack of competence. Later, as an inventor, he tried 1,000 times {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create) the light bulb, without success. He was confident in {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(he), and{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(eventual) he did success. When {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (ask), “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was {#blank#}7{#/blank#} invention with 1,000 steps.

    These successful people have set good {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(example) to us. They wouldn't have achieved their success if they{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(abandon)their dreams. Believe in yourself and try your best, and success will not be far{#blank#}10{#/blank#} you.

    The tea culture of China is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (amaze) and has a long history.  Tea drinking was widespread in China for about one thousand years {#blank#}2{#/blank#} appearing in Europe.  

    Tea drinking in China enjoys wide popularity.  Many people nowadays go to expensively decorated teahouses {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(talk) business.  However, tea drinking is very complex. Many factors contribute to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} enjoyable experience. It starts with the surroundings. In the past, tea drinking took place in a setting {#blank#}5{#/blank#}spring water runs on marble. At present, in order to create such atmosphere, teahouses {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(decorate) with traditional paintings and furniture.  Besides, there is always a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(perform) of a traditional Chinese musical instrument, such as the guzheng, pipa and erhu. Water {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (use) for tea also matters. In the old days, the water that came from melted snow was regarded as the best. Today no one collects snow any longer because of pollution and what people use is bottled water. Red tea, together with green tea, oolong tea and pu'er tea {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(rank) the top four favorites. The first three types of tea are processed using similar methods but pu'er tea uses a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (total) different method.  

    On October 23^rd, 2018，President Xi Jinping announced the opening of the Hong Kong– Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) at an opening ceremony in Zhuhai, Guangdong province.

    The HZMB,{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (locate) at the waters of the Lingdingyang of Pearl River Estuary, is a huge sea crossing, linking Hong Kong and Macao to the Chinese mainland city of Zhuhai. As the world's{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(long) sea-based project, the 55-kilometre bridge is the result of five years of research and another nine years of building. It has been described as one of the “seven{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(wonder) of the modern world” by the Guardian.

    The project{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(make) up of a 22.9-kilometer-long main bridge, a 6.7-kilometer-long tunnel and an artificial island off the bridge. It is designed with {#blank#}5{#/blank#}service life of 120 years. It can withstand a strong wind equal{#blank#}6{#/blank#} a maximum Beaufort scale 16. The bridge's engineers had to consider many environmental factors to protect the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(surround) environment while building the bridge. Chinese white dolphins, an endangered species that lives in the area,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (be) a particular concern.

    The HZMB will make{#blank#}9{#/blank#}much more convenient to travel between the three areas it connects. It will bring people in Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong within a “one-hour living circle”,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}is expected to attract more visitors to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will be a transport link as well as a social, economic, cultural, and tourism connection among the three areas.

    A 90-year-old has been awarded“Woman Of The Year”for {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （be）Britain's oldest full-time employee-still working 40 hours a week. Now Irene Astbury works from 9am to 5pm daily at the pet shop in Macclesfield， {#blank#}2{#/blank#} she opened with her late husband Les. Her years of hard work have {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（final）been acknowledged after a customer nominated（提名）her to be Cheshire's Woman Of The Year.

    Granddaughter Gayle Parks，31-who works alongside her in the family business-said it remained unknown as to who nominated Irene for the award. She said，"We don't have any idea who put grandma forward. When we got a call {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （say）she was short-listed，we thought it was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} joke. But then we got an official letter and we were blown away. We are so proud of her. It's {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (wonder）."
