Joseph was born in an English family. Whenhe was 2 years and 7 months old, his mother started to1him to read every day. And he was very2to learn that.

    When he was three years old, he3tell some stories.

    At that time, he4the level (水平) of a five-grade student. When he was four years old,he began to5booksby himself without his mother's help. He often read lots of stories to hisparents and his grandparents.

    When he was six, he could tell more than3,000 stories.

To our6, he could recite (背诵) the stories7once he read them one time. His memory (记忆力) was8good that many reporters can't believe it.

On January 25th, 2015, one reporter let him read an article (文章)9three hundred words in it and he then recited it freely and he didn't make a mistake. What a10boy he is!

    Now he is called "a child prodigy (天才；奇才) "in the UK.

The Ling family did not think they were going home with a pet that day. Annie wanted to visit the animal shelter(避难所). She wanted to see the cats and dogs. She had wanted a pet for years. Her parents were waiting for the girls to be old enough. Annie was seven. Her sister Lily was only three. Lily was still learning how to act around animals. She had a lot of energy!

Annie and Lily were excited to see the animals. A shelter volunteer gave the Ling family a tour. The volunteer talked about why animals came to the shelter. Some were found by the road. Others were dropped off by families who could not care for them.

Finally, the Ling family got to see the animals: There was a cat section and a dog section. They were all so cute! Some of the animals looked scared. This made Annie sad. The volunteer explained that animals need time to get used to a new place. She assured(向......保证) Annie that all the people caring for these animals were kind.

The Ling family walked through the dog section. They started talking. A dog just felt like the right choice. Annie's mom could not take her eyes of fan older black dog with kind eyes. Annie's dad was interested in a large, energetic dog. Annie had found her own favorite. He was a young puppy. He was brown with spots. He had been found near the railway with six other puppies(小狗). Annie could not take her eyes off this dog. She thought he had the cutest face in the world.

Annie pleaded(恳求) with her parents. They did not want to make a quick decision. But they could see in Annie's eyes that she had found her companion(伴侣). The volunteer talked about what a good breed the dog was and that he would be kind with children. That was what the family needed to hear. They decided to take the little puppy home.

A little girl heard her parents talking about her brother. He was very sick and they had no money. Only a very expensive operation (手术) could save him.

"Only a miracle(奇迹) can save him now," said her father. The little girl took out her money and counted (数) it carefully.

She hurried to a drugstore(药店) with the money.

"What do you want?" asked the salesman. "I want to buy a miracle." "Pardon?" said the salesman.

"My brother Andrew has something bad growing inside his head and my daddy says only a miracle can save him. So how much does a miracle cost?" "We don't sell a miracle here, Child. I'm sorry," the salesman said with a smile.

"Listen! If it isn't enough, I can try and get some more. Just tell me how much it costs."

A well-dressed man heard it and asked, "What kind of miracle does your brother need?"

"I don't know," she answered. "He's really sick and Mom says he needs an operation. But my daddy can't pay for it, so I have brought all my money."

"How much do you have?" asked the man. "$

1.11, but I can try and get some more," she answered.

"Well, what luck," smiled the man. He took up the girl's hand and said, "Take me to where you live. Let's see if I have the kind of miracle you need."

That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a famous doctor. The operation was successful and it wasn't long before Andrew was home again.

Maybe we three were the most unlucky graduates in our school history. I' ll never forget the day when we had our graduation ceremony(毕业典礼). 

I was known for being careless. I often fell down for no reason. Since I fell off the stage(舞台), my family bet that I would fall down again during my graduation ceremony. The day came so quickly. This time, I proudly made it through the whole ceremony without falling. But I knocked over the whole backdrop(背景板) which was used to take pictures for graduates. I felt so embarrassed the whole morning. 

My friend Julia was even more embarrassed. When she together with all the graduates was sitting quietly in the hall at eight in the morning, she didn't expect her father to come to attend her ceremony because he was really busy then. The hall was very quiet and you could even hear a pin(针) drop on the ground. When all of a sudden, out of the silence, she heard"Hey, Julia!". Everyone in the hall looked behind and found Julia's father, with a camera in his hand, smiling at her!

Tiffany was the most beautiful girl of us three. She loved all kinds of dresses. On that day, she dressed herself beautifully and wanted to have some beautiful photos. Unluckily, it was one of the windiest days of our life. The wind blew her beautiful dress up in front of the whole graduate class! She didn't know whether to cry or laugh. 

Lucky? Unlucky? So lucky! All of these became the unforgettable part of our life!

My name is Dave. I 1 a good friend. His name is Tom. He is Chinese. He lives in Beijing 2 his parents now. His mother is our English teacher. His father is a maths teacher. They both like their 3 . Tom is fifteen years old. He is 4 Class One, Grade Nine. I'm in Class One too， 5 I'm in Grade Seven. Tom is a good boy. He often helps me with my Chinese. He likes English food. We often go to the restaurant for dinner. 

Oh， Tom has 6 little sister. 7 name is Linda. She is only eight years old. She likes bananas and apples. I often buy bananas for her. This girl likes comedies(喜剧). She often 8 to the movies with her parents at weekends.She also likes 9 the piano. She wants 10 a pianist when she grows up. She says I'm very funny. I like her and she likes me too. 

I often wonder about my future as I'm going to finish secondary school. The number one question on my mind is what job I should choose. I want a job that will satisfy (使满意) me and bring me happiness. I believe that a job should be like a hobby. I will love my work. 

First of all, before I finish secondary school, I will take the first important exam of my life the final graduation (毕业) exam. I will have an English test, a math test, and a biology (生物) test. After my graduation, I will study at the medical university. 

But now, I'm trying my best to finish my studies. Also, before I have a family, I would like to travel around the world. I want to go to some countries like China, Finland and travel through Africa. After I finish my education and travels. I plan to get married (结婚) and have a family. I would like to live with my future family in the quiet, natural countryside.
