Americans love to drive. They have drive- in movie theaters and drive- through restaurants. And they also drive for vacations. They often call it the "Great American Road Trip": the whole family gets into a car or recreational vehicle(RV,旅行房车), and goes on a summertime trip across the country.

American cars are always big, but RVs are the biggest. These are houses on wheels. RVs have kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. All across the country you can find RV parks. They are places to park your RV and spend the night. And, if you can't find a good park, you can always make your home in a grocery store parking lot(杂货铺停车场).

When your little brother kicks you in the face all night in your small bed under the table, a big RV can seem very small. And, when the dog barks(吠) and Mom plays her country music on the radio—your family is not at its best. What's worse, RVs are always breaking down.

But RV travel can be a great time with the family, too. You can see the country in the comfort of your own "home". You can spend every night in a different scenic(景色的) place, or just stay where you are. You don't have to pay for hotels or restaurants, only gas. But, best of all, you are free to go wherever you want whenever you want in your home-away-from-home.

Is there anyone around you wearing a horse- faced skirt? It is a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(典型) kind of hanfu clothing. It is now so welcomed both at home and a{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, like America, England and so on. 

On March 6, a Douyi n {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (报道) showed an amazing result. Researchers c{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the order for horse- faced skirts with that of the past year, it went up by 841 percent. 

As hanfu becomes popular, traditional and modern fashions(时尚) are coming {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(朝;向) us together. This has changed not only clothing styles, but also people's cultural ideas. 

Some hanfu lovers think it's {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (完美) that each design(设计) of hanfuhas its own cultural meaning while other buyers consider style and comfort more important. 

Zhou Shuang, 37, designs character clothes for film and television. She said that for those who don't know much about traditional clothing, it's understandable that they want to mix ancient {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (美) and modern fashion. This is known as the neo- Chinese style. " Neo- Chinese style is a great s{#blank#}8{#/blank#} that wins so many people's heart. It puts together modernity and tradition naturally, " said Zhou. 

" I r{#blank#}9{#/blank#} that there are so many people wearing horse- faced skirts on the streets, from young women to children. It's {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (难以置信). " said Wang Zicheng, a 23- year- old hanfu lover. 

 In 2009, Phil Lecomte traveled to a small town at the foot of China's Huangshan Mountain with his camera and backpack. After walking about 10 kilometers by the mountain, and just as he wanted to give up, the Frenchman saw a beautiful village— Tunxi. He fell in love with the beautiful nature there.

 Lecomte lived in Tunxi for three months. Tunxi is most famous for its Huizhou culture street that has a history of hundreds of years. "I didn' t want to leave here anymore," Lecomte said. His trip to China turned into a long stay.

 He often hikes or rides a motorbike with his friends, away from the busy cities, to find hidden scenery(隐秘的风景) around Huangshan Mountain. They come to the fields by rivers, ancient(古老的) villages, and forests again and again.

 Lecomte likes taking photos wherever he goes. Up till now he has taken more than 118,000 photos in China. Now, he shares these photos on Chinese social media(社交媒体). One of his favorite photos shows a little girl building a snowman in an ancient street. "The girl was me when I was little!" a young woman said excitedly after the photo was posted.

Many students find it hard to make good friends. To solve the problem, I plan to share my advice. 

Find chances to meet people. For example, sit somewhere with others when you are at school, especially at lunchtime. It doesn't have to be a crowded table, but try to choose one with at least two other people. Remember: Friends never knock on your door when you stay at home. 

        ▲   Joining in club activities is a great way to find other people who have the same hobbies as you. If you enjoy listening to music or singing, joining a music club is a good choice. More importantly, you can make friends there. 

Volunteer(自愿) for a group you care about. By working together, you can build friendships with others. You may spend your time at a hospital helping the people in need with other warm-hearted friends.
