Have you ever been sad because you failed in something? If so, please remember achieving(实现) what you expect(期望) is not the most1 thing.

One day after watching a science program, a little boy 2 to dig a deep hole behind his house. As he was working, a couple of boys stopped to watch. "What are you doing?" asked one of them. "I want to dig a hole all the way through the 3 !" the boy answered excitedly. The older boys laughed and told him that it was 4 to do it. Then they left.

The little boy kept on digging and digging. Suddenly, a few small colorful stones caught his eyes.

①There's nothing quite like falling sound asleep after a full day or work. Like people, animals need to rest after working hard. Some animals sleep in water. Others dig holes under the ground. Some even sleep high in trees or under leaves. But they all find a way to rest.

②Some animals in the sea sleep in strange ways. Fish sleep with their eyes open. They seem to look ahead far into the sea while they rest. Sea otters sometimes sleep in beds of the plants that grow in the sea. This keeps them from moving away. Parrotfish blow something from their mouths when they are ready to sleep. Then a bubble(气泡) will be formed around them. The bubble protects them from harm while they sleep.

③Some animals sleep under the ground. Chipmunks(花栗鼠) sleep curled up in a ball. Their beds are made of grass. In winter, they sleep for two weeks before waking up again. Some desert frogs di g underground holes during the hot, dry season. A frog may stay in its hole for months.

④There are some animals who sleep in the air. Some seabirds can sleep while they fly. These large birds spend most of their lives over the ocean. They are in danger on the water, but they are safe in the air. They glide for many hours without flapping(拍打) their wings.

⑤High above the ground, monkeys find leafy places in trees each evening before they sleep. The tall trees help to keep monkeys safe during the night. Some insects even sleep under the leaf that will be their next meal. A bee may climb down into a flower to rest. When it climbs out the next morning, it is rested and ready for work.

36-­year­-old California Dad Sholom Solomon is a funny photo lover. And he just might be taking the lead as this year's most awesome dad. Recently Solomon and his daughter have spent their time taking lots of funny and amazing photos while wearing creative clothes. 

Solomon said，"I have always taken funny pictures even before Zoe was born. When she came along I wanted to include her so that one day she can look back at funny memories with her dad. "

In fact，Solomon's wife Carli took all these new photos. One photo shows Zoe was dressed up as a flower while her dad was watering flowers beside her. Another photo shows Solomon dressed in firefighter gear (装备)．

"We are always trying to find some creative clothes to take funny photos. It has become a family's favorite experience now，" Solomon smiled and said. 

So many fans love these cute photos. Solomon has nearly 20，000 followers on the Internet，and that number is quickly climbing. "Everyone seems to be connected with the love of the father and the daughter. The response (反应) has been extremely positive，" Solomon said with pride. 

Online classes in space got lots of attention among Chinese students. The "classroom" in space station is about 400 kilometres away from the earth. The space classes make the young proud of our country. As a special "teacher", Wang Yaping is regarded as （看作）"the most beautiful astronaut（宇航员）. 

Wang Yaping was born in a small village in Shandong in 1980. She studied hard all those years. She was good at all subjects, especially sports. Luckily, in 1997, she was accepted by Changchun Flight Academy. 

Wang's space dream started in 2003, when China sent its first astronaut Yang Liwei into space. She told herself, "China now has a male astronaut. When will there be a female one?" At that time, Wang was a pilot in the Chinese army. After having safe flights （飞行）for 1, 600 hours during nine years in the training centre, Wang was a strong candidate （候选人）to become an astronaut in 2010. In 2013, Wang realized her space dream. She was sent to space by Shenzhou— 10. She joined the team of Shenzhou— 13 in 2021 and flew into the space for the second time. 

However, it is difficult to be an astronaut. She has to experience a lot of pain that most people can't stand and keep training all the time. Wang Yaping told Xinhua, "The space environment won't change because you are a woman. " She pushed herself hard, getting the same training as men, including the pull— ups and barbells（杠铃）. That finally made her dream come true. 

"You are on the way to success as long as you stick to your dreams, " Wang Yaping said. She set a good example to the young. Millions of students are encouraged and inspired（受鼓舞）by the most beautiful astronaut. 

When I had something difficult to do, I used to ask my mother for help. But she always said, "Do it yourself, dear." I was not glad at all. I thought she was the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} mother in the world!

For example, one day, I decided to invite some friends to my home. My bedroom was not in order. Books were everywhere. And I didn't {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. I asked my mother to help me clean it, but she still said, " Do it yourself, girl."

Because of my "lazy mother" , I have to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} my clothes and clean my room. I have to help my parents cook food and I even have to go to the dentist by myself. It is really hard for me to do everything {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, but I have learned a lot.

As time goes by, I understand my mother. She makes me clever and hard-working!

①Today, it is a big problem for young people to get fine jobs after they leave universities. There are different kinds of jobs in the world. But how should young people choose the right one? That often worries them. 

②"Finding a job" is not the same as"choosing a job". Many young people can't get right jobs. Here are a few steps to help you think about jobs which you might enjoy doing after you leave school or university. 

③First, it is important to know what kind of person you are, what special qualities you have and what you are interested in? There is a difference between an interest and a skill. If you like art and enjoy looking at pictures, that is an interest. But if you can draw a horse and it looks like a horse not a big dog, that is a skill. 

④Then ask yourself a question, "Of the following three skills— skill with people, skill with information and skill with things, which is my best skill?"

⑤After finding out your best skill, the next step is to study carefully. To find out as many different kinds of jobs as possible, go to the library and read books, magazines and newspapers for information. Ask your friends what they think of the work they do. 

⑥The last step is to trust your own ideas and your own thinking! It is your own life. Just find the job you really enjoy doing.
