Look! This is our living room. There is a brown {#blank#}1{#/blank#} .I make it tidy（整齐的）. Some books are on the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} .I put them in the study. This is my bedroom. The {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  is near the window. It's clean now. The toys are on the floor. I put {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  in the box. This is our kitchen. There is a green {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  in it. It's very tidy. And I also clean the floor. I like cleaning. I'm a good helper at home.

Miaomiao is really looking forward to（期望）the weekend with her cousin 

Mike. On Saturday, she'll meet Mike at the bus station and they'll go to the books-

tore to read Mike's favorite comic books.After that, they'll buy a gift for Mike's aunt at the supermarket and get some fresh bread.

On Sunday, Miaomiao and Mike plan to eat ice cream and head to the cinema to see a film.They'll have a great time. In the afternoon, they'll visit their grandparents. And in the evening, Miaomiao will walk with Mike to the bus station to see 

him off after their family dinner.

No one really knows exactly how,when,or where fortune cookies（幸运饼）were invented. One thing is for sure,though. Fortune cookies are not from China. They were created in America. Actually,they may have been inspired by Chinese or Japanese food. Some people think that fortune cookies are like mooncakes,small Chinese cakes with messages inside. Others believe that fortune cookies are similar to a traditional Japanese rice cookie that once had a fortune inside it. 

Fortune cookies are so popular that two American cities,San Francisco and Los Angeles,fought over the right to be the"home"of the fortune cookie. In 1983，a trial（审判）was held to decide where the fortune cookie came from. One side argued for David Jung,founder of the Hong Kong Noodle Company in Los Angeles. He said that he has invented the fortune cookie in 1918. The other side argued the cookie was invented by Makoto Hagiwara,a man who ran（运营）the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco in the 1890s. In the end,Hagiwara won the trial. 

This was no surprise,because the trial was held in San Francisco. People in Los Angeles later held their own trial and decided that their city was the home of the fortune cookie. No matter where fortune cookies are from,it is hard to imagine finishing a meal of Chinese food without opening this sweet,crunch（脆的）cookie and reading its luck message. 

In this month, Stars of Jobs are Tony, Jack,Doctor Chen and Sunny.

Tony is a fisherman in a shipping company.He goes to sea and catches fish five times a month. He gets well with people on the ship, and people all like working with him.

Jack is a football coach of the Winner Foot-ball Club. He was a football player before. Every day he does sports with his team members. He works hard and helps his team members.

Doctor Chen is a famous scientist in our city. She works in the University of South China.She does experiments all day.

Sunny is a police officer. She works in the police station. She helps people deal with all kinds of problems. People call her the Mother of Community.

Sandy is a taxi driver in London.She tells us about her work and some of her experiences.

 1 did you start？

I've been a taxi driver for about five years.Before that，I was a bus driver in London，and I enjoyed it，but I wanted to be more independent，so 2 and started driving my taxi.

Have you ever had any famous passengers？

Oh yes. I've had film stars, politicians, you know, some famous people. About a year ago, a really famous actor got into my taxi. I took him to the airport. There was 3 traffic and we spent a long time getting there, so he missed his plane. It wasn't my fault but when he got out of the taxi, he said some things that were not very 4 to me! I said to him,  "Next time，take a bus!"

Have passengers ever 5 anything in your taxi？

Oh yes, all kinds of things in here, a suitcase, a hat, mobile phones of course, even a dog once! Years ago, a woman forgot a pair of shoes on the back seat. And one time some teeth here! Not real teeth of course, false teeth. And people have asked me to do some strange jobs. Once a doctor stopped me outside a hospital and asked me to take a skeleton （骨架） to the hospital in the countryside. And I did.But I asked the doctor to pay 6 the skeleton couldn't pay after all.

What's the worst part of your job？

Good question. I've always enjoyed being a taxi driver.But of course，sometimes，it's not great.I don't like driving around without a passenger, but it's better than just

 7 passengers at the airport or at a railway station.

 Tony wants to go to the post office, but he doesn't know the way. He sees an old man in the street. He says. "You tell me the way to the post office!" The old man doesn't answer.

 Tony gets angry and shouts, "Old man, tell me the way to the post office! Can you hear me ?" The old man looks at him and says, "Walk along this road and turn left at the second crossing and turn right, and then turn right, and you will find the post office."

 Tony does what the old man says. He walks for half and an hour. He meets the old man again . He is very angry and shouts, "Why do you tell me the wrong way?" The old man says, "Because you ask in the wrong way."
