China sent three astronauts (宇航员) to its space station on Tuesday. The astronauts flew in a rocket called Shenzhou-16. It's the first time a regular (普通的) person from China is going to space. It's really exciting!

The rocket took off from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre. The astronauts flew for more than six hours to reach the space station's central part, Tianhe. Everything went well, and the astronauts were feeling good now.

Many workers from the space program were there to see the rocket launch. Kids played and waved Chinese flags. People said "wow" loudly and wished the astronauts good luck as the rocket went up in smoke.

The crew has Jing Haipeng, who is on his fourth time to go to space. He's with Engineer Zhu Yangzhu and Professor Gui Haichao from Beihang University. Gui Haichao is the first regular person from China to go to space. China was the third country to send human into space.

The Shenzhou-16 crew will meet the Shenzhou-15 crew, who will return to Earth soon. They will do many experiments, and the space station was filled with water, clothes and food earlier this month.

China really wants to make its "space dream" come true. They plan to build a base on the moon by 2030. Lin from CMSA said, "The main goal is to have Chinese astronauts land on the moon and do experiments there."

There is a great plan to build a "wood (木材) city" of 2,000 homes and 7,000 offices in Sweden. The work in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, will be the world's largest wood construction (建造) plan. Stockholm Wood City, in the south of the city, will cover 250,000 m². It will have restaurants and shops.

Wooden buildings can help the environment. As they grow, trees take in CO₂from the air. CO₂is a greenhouse gas. It keeps the sun's heat (热气) in the air, making temperatures (温度) go up and the weather become hot. Using wood to build houses is good for our world.

However, to build wooden buildings, we should get wood from forests. Workers cut down trees, but later, they have to plant new trees to replace old ones. Wooden houses are safe if we build them correctly (适当地), but there are also worries that wooden buildings are in danger of fire (火).

Construction will start in 2025 and the first buildings should be ready in 2027. Annica Anas works for the company to run the project. She says the wooden buildings are special and that it is important for them to "make a good difference".

A British woman used an ancient Chinese invention to help her son deal with a modern problem. 

Dr. Rashmi Mantri grew up in India. She was taught how to use an abacus to solve math problems when she was a little girl. After noticing her son Dhruv had great difficulty with math，she started emploving the same ancient Chinese tool to help him after school. 

In just six days，Dhruv started to show rapid progress with the abacus. He enjoyed learning on it because it was like a game. He started to learn fast and would go on to become an excellent student in math. Surprised by the progress，teachers asked Dhruv to perform with the abacus at a school meeting，where some parents even came to ask for advice on using it to help their kids. 

Known as the Fifth Invention of Ancient China，the Chinese abacus helped people so lve all kinds of math problems in ancient China and is still used today. People find that using an abacus can also improve thinking and practical abilities. In 2013, the Chinese abacus was officially listed as an intangible cultural heritage of human beings(人类非物质文化遗产). "The abacus becomes a playing tool for younger children. It feels like a game. I think the success comes because children can touch and feel an abacus and picture it in their mind. "said Dr. Mantri. 

Most parents are worried the first time they catch their kids out lying. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

According to the child and teen psychiatrist Gayani DeSilva, "Kids lie for many reasons, and it is normal for them to lie. People are not born with the knowledge of communicating with others and getting their needs met. They must learn how to communicate those needs in proper ways. They'll experiment with different communication styles and skills until they find the ones that work best for them. Lying is one of these skills."

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}they become more aware of how their actions affect others, and many will lie less frequently because they know it could hurt someone else's feelings. In spite of this, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} According to DeSilva, when children lie, look at them directly and ask what they need. After they tell you, gently remind them that telling you directly will be more effective（有效的）than lying.

In some cases, lying is a sign of a deeper problem. A child who is neglected will lie more than a child who has attentive and responsive parents. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}he may lie to please others. The same goes for a child who has experienced something unpleasant. By paying attention to the reasons behind a lie, parents can know what needs to be done. For example, while Jack might lie about finishing his homework in order to play video games, he might also be trying to avoid negative feelings connected with homework. "And this is just where parents should start," says the therapist Gideon Javna.

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games were over. China's Olympic team won91 medals (奖牌), including 40 gold, 27 sliver and 24 bronze. All eyes are on the Chinese diving dream team(中国跳水梦之队). For the first time, it won all eight gold medals in the diving(跳水) events of the Olympics. In the team, Quan Hongcha n stood out with her wonderful diving.

When Quan was just seven, she started to learn diving. The diving platform (跳台) is very high and she is still so young. Sometimes she is afraid of it, but she always tries her best. Quan practices for eight hours every day, but she never complains (抱怨) about the training from day to night. In the women's 10- meter platform final, she won gold again, just as she did in Tokyo Olympics.

Quan told the reporter(记者)," Everyone says I am a genius(天才). ButI think it's more about hard- working. I must practice over and over again. Practice makes perfect. That's me, Quan Hongchan, from China."
