Jing Haipeng has become the first Chinese astronaut to go into space for the 1 time, as he was chosen to be the commander(指挥官) of the Shenzhou-16 manned space mission.

Jing Haipeng, born in 1966, has visited space more 2 than any other Chinese astronaut."As an astronaut, it is our main 3 to go to space,"he told the press.

The experienced astronaut 4 the nation's attention in September 2008. He was 5 as one of three crew members for the Shenzhou-7 mission and traveled in space for more than two days. The crew completed China's first spacewalk.

In June 2012, Jing 6 the commander of the Shenzhou-9 mission. He worked with Liu Wang and Liu Yang in 7 for 13 days, completing China's first manned space docking.

In October 2016, Jing was chosen as the commander of the Shenzhou-11 mission. He and Chen Dong 8 33 days in space.

In May 2023, Jing returned to space as the commander of Shenzhou-16.

Born in a village in north China's Shanxi Province, Jing first showed a(n) 9 in aviation when he was a teenager and found inspiration from a picture of a 10 .

Jing took part in an aviation exam in 1984, 11 failed because of"physical reasons". But he did not 12 . The following year, he entered an aviation school. After graduation, he was relocated to a training base in Jiangsu Province. He had clocked(达到)1,200 hours of13 fight time while working as a pilot.

After getting the apple, the teacher asked, "So, do you understand how many friends a person needs?"

"Yes, I do," Tom said. "Many, so together we can work out any problem."

"Sounds good," the teacher said. "You need as many friends as you can. Among them, there will be at least one smart person who can think of a good idea, like getting a ladder!"

Can 13-year-olds do something to change the world? Cris Kesz Valdez, 13, from the Philippines believes so.

At the age of 7, Valdez set up an organization to give homeless kids things like slippers and toothbrushes. So far he has helped more than 10,000 children improve their lives in his hometown.

Valdez won the 2012 International Children's Peace Prize on September 19, 2012.

"My motto is ‘we can change the world one heart at a time,' " Valdez said at the award ceremony.

In fact, Valdez is a homeless kid himself. He looked for food from trash, lived on the streets and slept in a public cemetery for most of his childhood. His parents didn't care about him and often beat him. Valdez said he felt he was living in "darkness" at that time.

But this "darkness" didn't turn him into a dark person. Valdez got help from community workers. On his first birthday party, at the age of 7, Valdez decided what he wanted most was to help other children who were still living on the streets.

"I didn't have a lot of money, but I had a lot of love to give," Valdez explained.

That day was the birth of the organization, Championing Community Children. Since then, Valdez and his friends visit homeless children and hand out bags with slippers, toys and even candy. They nurse their wounds, teach them about their rights and offer them hope.

"I want children on the streets to get the same chance as I have," he said.
