A British man learned the skills to perform Beijing Opera, making people enjoy his lively performance of the Monkey King.

Ghaffar Pourazar, born in Iran, is full of interest about China. In 1993, he happened to watch Beijing Opera which professionals from Beijing performed in London. Ghaffar fell in love with the beautiful voices, colorful costumes, excellent shows and so on. So after one year, he arrived in China alone and became a student of Beijing Opera at a Beijing school.

At the age of 32, he had to learn with children every day. For him, it was difficult to learn the dialogue in Beijing Opera and it was even his biggest obstacle. But he never gave up.

Four years later, he began to learn to perform the Monkey King, a traditional character(人物) from the Chinese classic story Journey to the West. He arrived in the workroom an hour earlier than other performers and also bought books and CDs to better understand the character. He once got a top international prize(奖品) for performing the Monkey King.

To help more people enjoy Beijing Opera, Ghaffar often teaches the traditional art form in schools in the US, Britain and other countries. Ghaffar led(带领) a group of actors to perform 66 times in a month and a half in the United States. He also led a 48-member team to perform in Malaysia. In the past 10 years, he has performed(已经表演了) more than 400 shows.

When I was twelve, I wrote the first note to my mother, "Hi, Mom! Have a nice day! Love, Marie! ", and I folded the note into her change purse(零钱包) . 

My mother worked as a cleaner in a clothing factory. I knew that when she bought meals in the dining hall, she would have to look for change in her purse. I didn't know that she would keep that note, and always carry it with her. 

From the day that I carefully folded the small piece of paper into my mother's change purse. ____. They would be put in the fridge, under a lamp, or beside the TV set. I even found one hidden in my shoe. From the outside, our notes may have been general records of our days, ideas and wishes. But to my mother and me, they were a lifeline—a special communication with each other that no one else shared. 

On October 20, 2009, my mother died after a long illness. I stood near her bed, holding her hand. I didn't cry the day my mom died, and I didn't cry a week later when I went to collect her things. I was so thankful that she no longer had aches and pains. 

Recently, I found a note that my mom had left me. It had been hidden in the pages of my favorite childhood book for years. It read, "Dear Marie, I love you always. Miss you a lot. Don't forget me. Be happy! Love, Mom" That day, I cried. 

One day, Mr Hill arrived at London Airport after a three-week holiday in Paris. He1 had a beard (胡须). It was hot there, so he cut it off. But his passport (护照) photo2 him with his beard.

 An officer looked at the photo for a3 and said, "Excuse me, please sit down. I won't keep you4 ." The officer walked away, showed the photo to a second officer and said, "I knew that5 well.But I forget who he is." The second6 looked at the passport and asked where Mr Hill came from. When he heard that Mr Hill just came back from 7 the second officer smiled and said." An Englishman with a beard 8 a painting in Paris on Friday. He may be the thief"

 Suddenly the first officer remembered who Mr Hill was. He returned to him and asked. "Did you9 at the No.2 High School?"When Mr Hill said "10 " in surprise, the first officer smiled and said, "I'm Jack Smith. You taught me French．"

 Last Saturday, Lily and her family went to the zoo. The weather was sunny and warm, perfect for a day outside. They packed sandwiches, water, and some fruit fora picnic.

 At the zoo, Lily was excited to see her favorite animals— pandas! She learned that pandas mostly eat bamboo and can sleep for more than 12 hours a day. "They are so cute and fluffy!" Lily said with a big smile.

 Next, they visited the lions. The lions were resting in the shade. Lily's little brother, Tom, said, "Look at their big paws! They must be very strong." Their mom explained, "Lions are called the ' king of the jungle' because they are powerful hunters"

 After lunch, the family walked to the bird area. There were colorful parrots, peacocks, and flamingos. The parrots could say simple words like"hello." Lily laughed when a parrot said, "Good morning!"

 Before going home, they saw the giraffes. Lily noticed how tall they were. Her dad said, "A giraffe' s neck can be up to six feet long! That's taller than most people."

 On the way back, Lily felt a little tired, but she was happy. She told her parents,"Today was so much fun. I learned a lot about animals."

Last winter holiday, I went to an island with my parents. The island is 142, 000 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} metres. We had breakfast at {#blank#}2{#/blank#} 9:00 am. The {#blank#}3{#/blank#} there were different from those in cities. I took lots of pictures there. 

It was a sunny summer day and I walked back home1 school. When I stood in front of my2 , I found I lost my key. It was very terrible for me,3 I only had one key. And my parents were out for some days.

I walked4 the neighborhood, hoping to find the lost key. But I didn't find it. I called my mom and she told me to go to my aunt's home. My aunt lived in5 house of our neighborhood. I could6 with her that day, but I still needed to get my key back.

The next day when I went past the security hut (保安亭) in the neighborhood, I saw something on the window. It was my7 ! "Is that yours, boy?" the guard (保安) asked me. "Yes. I lost it yesterday.8 found it?" I said. The guard9 , "I don't know. Someone picked it up last night."

I was happy. Picking up the key and taking it to the security hut wasn't something great, but this kind action (行为) was so10 to me. I just felt so happy. I couldn't thank the person, but I can pass on (传递) his or her kindness by learning from the person.
