If you are a teenager and you have lost interest in reading or never like it so much, this is for you. Here is some   {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  on finding your favorite books:
★ Ask around. Ask your   {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  or favorite teachers to suggest books they enjoy.
★ Go to the library. Don't be shy about it. You can ask a librarian(图书管理员) a question {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  this: Do you have any books  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  rock music?
★ Try a few pages. If a book doesn't interest you after you read a few pages, leave it and try another, until you find an  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} one.
★ Read at your own pace(速度). Reading isn't a test. So when you read  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , you can have a look at words here and there and think. If you   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  interested in it, you'll read to the end quickly. Then you can read another one.
★ Let one good thing lead to another. When you read something that  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  interests you, you may be sorry when you  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}  it. Because the end is never really the end for a person who reads. You can always  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  another book, and another, and another.

    High school also has more after-school activities, such as music and theatre groups, sports teams and{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. This is a good chance to learn how to be more independent. It is also a good time to develop your interests and try new things.

Our environment

    Nowadays, the air is full of dust (灰尘). The water is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} clean and clear. The land is much poorer. In {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to build more houses or other buildings, we cut down trees. As a result, the Earth is becoming {#blank#}3{#/blank#} and warmer.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, people have realized (认识到) how serious the problem is. The polluted water and air make us {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. We can't plant anything on poor land, so we will have {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to eat. The {#blank#}7{#/blank#} world will come to the end.

    Therefore, we have to protect (保护) our environment. It is hard for us {#blank#}8{#/blank#} using these kinds of things. Though we have {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a lot to protect the Earth, it is not enough. So it is time {#blank#}10{#/blank#} us to do something.
