One day, a farmer took a bag of wheat（小麦） to town. He didn't know what to do when the bag fell off his horse. The bag was too heavy for him to lift. He hoped that someone would come and help him.

    Before long a man came over. But the farmer's heart sank when he saw the man, because he was the famous judge（法官） in town. The farmer was afraid to ask him for help.

    As soon as he came up to the farmer, the judge got off his horse and said, “You need my help, don't you? Let me help you，” Then he took one end of the bag, the farmer took the other. They lifted the bag of wheat onto the horse.

    “Sir” asked the farmer, “how can I pay you?”

    “Well,” the judge replied, “if you see anyone in need of help, do the same for him,”

    This is a story about a famous scientist.     Peter and Jack came to my house one afternoon in January, 2018. They encouraged me to try a 200-kilometre bike ride. It was an event to 1 money for disabled children. I thought the idea seemed 2 —to support the unlucky children while riding for a long distance.

    My focus changed at that moment. For a whole day, I was doubting my body, but now, I had the will that would help me 10 my aim.

Cristina Zenato, a world-famous shark expert and diver(潜水员), was born in Italy and grew up in Africa until the age of 15. In 1994, she went on a vacation to Grand Bahama and fell in love with both diving and the island. So she decided to make Bahama her home and make diving her life.

Cristina learned to feed sharks when she was a child. In 1996, she became a shark feeder trainer. She created a course that educated divers about the beauty of sharks and the need to protect them and their environment. Through the "shark feeder course", she has created more shark lovers.

Cristina is talented in communicating with sharks. With just a touch on a shark's head and face, she can lead it into a state of sleep for 15 minutes. Cristina's special talent has been used to study shark behavior by scientists. It also helps to save sharks. Cristina still remembers clearly the first time she managed to take out a huge hook(吊钩) from a tiger shark's mouth. Up to now, she has taken out hundreds of hooks and fishing lines from shark mouths and skin without hurting them. Her work has saved many sharks from possible death.

Cristina has received many prizes and honors for her great work in shark research and protection. She also acted in several films including "Saving the Sharks" by the BBC. Until today, she continues to give speeches around the world.

I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch （牧场）. He has let me use his 1 to raise money for youth at risk programs. 

The last time I was there he told me his story. When he was young, his family is too 2 to have a house to live in. As a 3 , he had a poor childhood. When he was in high school, he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up. That night he wrote a seven- page paper describing his goal of 4 a horse ranch. He also drew a picture to show a 4000- square- foot house that would sit on a beautiful farm. The next day he 5 it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On the front page was a large red F. Roberts asked, "Why did I 6 an F?" His teacher said, "This is a （an）7 dream for a young boy like you. A horse ranch requires a lot of money. " Then the teacher added, "If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic （现实的） goal, I will reconsider your grade. "

The boy went home and thought about it for a （an）8 and hard time. He asked his father what he should do. His father said, "Look, son, you have to have your own mind on this. " Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the same paper, making no 9 at all. He told his teacher, "You could keep the F and I still keep my dream. "

Monty tells me this story because I am sitting in his 4000- square- foot house in the middle of my 200- acre horse ranch. He said a lot of kids' dream can be stolen. Don't let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what happens. 10 he had enough courage not to give up his dream. 

When I was 5 or 6 years old, I was a naughty (调皮) boy. One day, I tried to steal gum from the drugstore when my1 took me shopping. I stood in front of the gum shelf, waiting for the right moment. After about302 , I finally made my move, just as my mum was calling me to3 . As we walked away, a store worker walked up to my mum and told her that I had taken a pack of gum.

My mum was really angry and insisted that it was4 for me to do so. She thought her son was honest, good, and 5 lied or did anything bad. However, the store worker explained that all the workers, from the very beginning, had been watching me for half an hour. It was challenging for them to wait so long before I 6 did it. To prove they were wrong, my mum searched me, checked my pockets, and found7 . The man was surprised, and my mum was proud and even scolded (责备) him.

Seeing the man's face turn red, I felt very sorry. I had to make a choice. As he started to walk away, I 8 my cap, reached inside, and offered the pack of gum to him. I said 9 with all my heart. Both the man and my mother were shocked, for different reasons.

Though I was punished, I felt less guilty because I10 becoming a worse person. Better late than never.
