In traditional Chinese medicine, food is divided (划分) into two types; hot and cold. Both kinds of food affect (影响) your body {#blank#}1{#/blank#} different ways, So, having 57. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} balanced diet is safe and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (health) for your body.

    Some examples of hot food {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (be) berries, mutton, and ginger (生姜) . If you eat too much of them, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (certainly) things might happen to your body. You may start to sweat a lot and feel pain in your back, or even grow gray hair! If these things happen to you, you should avoid (避免) spicy food, coffee, or sugar.

    On  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} other hand, too much cold food like tomatoes and potatoes can also cause problems. It may make your hands and  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (foot) cold. It also makes your body temperature lower.

    Besides what we eat, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we eat is also important. You should always sit down and chew (咀嚼) carefully. Don't make {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (you) busy with other things, such as watching TV or {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (read) a newspaper. Finally, it's best to eat three meals a day at regular times.

Students like taking pictures of their school meals. Bella is one of them. She likes to write too. So she started her own blog (博客). Every day, she writes on the Internet about the meals at her school with pictures of the food. Many students read her blog. 

Bella describes the taste of the food. Sometimes she likes the food, but sometimes she does not. She also tells the value of healthy food. So students know how important it is to eat the right food. Now, many students send pictures to Bella. She shares their stories and pictures of school meals on her blog! 

Bella starts her blog for another important reason. She raises money for Mary's Meals. Mary's Meals works in Malawi in Africa. It offers free lunch to children. Bella calls on her readers to collect money for Mary's Meals. She hoped to raise about 10,000 dollars. But the number went up to 20,000 dollars and still keeps growing fast! 

Bella's blog has also helped to improve meals at her school. Bella and her school friends found their meals improved after she started her blog. 

No one knows what will happen to Bella's blog in the future. But this girl helps to change the eating experience of many children just by sharing pictures of her school meals. 

School life is often happy and exciting. How can we keep those good memories (回忆)? Most high schools in the United States have a yearbook. The yearbook comes out once a year. It is a "book of memories" for students.

Inside a yearbook there is each student's photo. The fourth-year students are finishing school soon, and their photos appear first. Next are the third-year students. Next come the second-year students. The last photos are the first year students. The yearbook is not only about students, but the teachers' photos are also in it.

The yearbook also has photos and descriptions of sports teams, school subjects, and extracurricular activities. These are activities students do after school such as the chess club and Chinese club. There is even the yearbook club. Students in this club write and take photos all year for the yearbook. At the end of the year, the book comes out.

In the yearbook, some students get special titles (头衔). For example, the students choose the "class clown"—a funny student, the "most likely to succeed"—a student everyone thinks will be successful, and the "best dressed"—a student with a good fashion sense.

Students write in each other's yearbooks. This is very important to the fourth-year students because they are saying goodbye to each other. Students write something like "We had a lot of fun." and "I'll never forget you." They also write about all the fun they shared in school together.

Mr and Mrs Brown are going to have a vacation. Miss Green，a travel agent（旅行代理人），has made a full schedule(日程) for them. They arrive in Chicago on July 3rd and stay there for three days. It's two nights and three days altogether. They have plenty of time for shopping and sightseeing.（看风景）

Then they are leaving for（动身去） New York City at 11：30 a.m. on July 5th by train. They have accommodations（住宿） for two nights at the New York Sheraton on 7th Avenue. After that，they are visiting Washington. They have two days there before they fly to Montreal. There's a meal served （提供）on that flight. They can have some sandwiches and desserts（甜点），and of course the usual beverages（饮料）：coffee，tea or soft drinks. They will have a good time in Montreal，too. It's a full schedule（日程表），but they'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy themselves.

Why are the leaves on trees different colors? What makes them change color? Leaves use sunlight, water, and air to make food for the trees. This way of making food is called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is important to animals as well as plants. Some animals ea t plants. Other animals eat these animals.

Summer is playtime. For the leaves of many trees, however, it's work, work, work! The Sun is shining. The leaves are making food for the trees. The trees keep more than enough food deep inside. Leaves are green in summer because they are making food. Leaves also have orange, yellow, or brown colors inside them. During summer, those colors are covered by the green color.

Many places get colder in fall with shorter days and longer nights. Trees get less sunlight, so photosynthesis slows down. Over time, leaves stop making the green chemical. The hidden orange, yellow, and brown colors grow when that happens.

Once it gets cold enough and ice appears at night, the trees drop their leaves. They do this to keep themselves safe. If the leaves turn to ice while still on the trees, the trees can be hurt. Trees that drop their leaves are bare (光秃秃) in winter. They use the food they save in summer to get through the cold days and nights.

Spring comes before long. Ice and snow disappear and the rains come. The Sun shines, and tiny leaves grow from branches. Once again, the leaves use sunlight, water, and air to make food. The cycle(循环) begins again.
