Li Ting is a good girl. She is ten years old. Her parents are very busy. So her grandfather, Mr. Li, cooks(烹饪) breakfast for her. Li Ting loves her grandfather and wants to thank him.

Winter International Food Festival

Green Square will have this year's Winter International Food Festival on January 15th. It will begin at 5 p. m. and end at 9 p. m. You can enjoy food and drinks from more than 20 countries. There will also be five interesting shows. Come and have fun!

Food passport (护照)

After you get to the square, go to the red house to pick up your free "food passport". You can visit seven stations and collect a stamp (邮票) at each station. After collecting all seven stamps, you will win an amazing gift!

How can you practice your spoken English? 

The first and the most important thing is to believe in yourself. You should always be full of confidence，or you will never be able to improve your English. You should often {#blank#}1{#/blank#} yourself， "Come on！ Don't be afraid！"

Maybe you are afraid  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} losing face， but you should think we are students and we're learning. There's no need to worry about anything. You must always be active in practicing. It's no problem that your {#blank#}3{#/blank#}and intonation（语调） won't be as good  as a native（本地的） speaker because we are Chinese {#blank#}4{#/blank#} we haven't had many chances to live in foreign countries and talk with the people there. But you must know that the main goal of studying English is to make ourselves understood and understand others. You should {#blank#}5{#/blank#} native speakers will not laugh at you. Instead， they will encourage you. So if you are brave {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ， you'll certainly make rapid progress in your spoken English. 

In the seventh grade when my mother told me that I should join the golf team, I thought she was crazy. But as usual, my mother1 in the end. I played in the2 team in the seventh and eighth grade. Then, I became more and more interested in golf.
