Andrew has a mental illness. He doesn't speak. He had used a picture chart to communicate. The pictures stand for words—people, places, food and activities.

Years ago, Andrew's parents discovered that he could communicate more by a letter board. He could point to and spell out words and thoughts. Using the letter board needs time and effort for Andrew. He hated to use the letter board, so his parents always offered it to him.

On Andrew's 15th birthday, his mother took him to a shoe store. After buying the shoes, she said. "It's Andrew's birthday today. Fifteen! Now we're off to celebrate."

The salesmen said happy birthday to Andrew. Instead of having Andrew point to the "thank you" on his picture chart, his mother held up his letter board and asked Andrew how he'd like to respond. Andrew pointed to each letter one by one on the board— "Thank you." Andrew's mother smiled.

One of the salesmen asked what it was. "This is a letter board that Andrew uses to communicate," his mother replied. "We've practiced it for years. It's amazing. It's changed everything for us." Then the salesman told them he had a brother called Jason. "Jason is 30 and doesn't speak," he said.

"Andrew, what do you think?" his mother turned to Andrew. Andrew started pointing to letters, "Tell Jason..." She was excited. Andrew continued, "Tell Jason he will change everyone's opinion of him in 26 letters." Andrew's mother and the salesmen were all moved and happy.

Months later, Andrew's mother returned to the shoe store and learned that Jason is now using a letter board to "speak". This is how Andrew affected another person's life in a split second (瞬间).

Anna and her family enjoy their visit in China. Now she is checking the weather forecast before making plans for the following days.

Anyunna Phillips，a teacher in Atlanta，wants her students to know that they can do anything confidently by making a rule. The rule is that every morning，they take turns looking at themselves in the mirror and repeating some positive affirmations（肯定）. Some of their favourites are，Anyunna cheers and agrees with them，sometimes offering a high five. 

"It seems that students walk away from the mirror standing a little taller after doing that. I always remind them of their daily affirmations and tell them they can achieve anything. I really want to help them build their confidence，belief in themselves，and self﹣love

The students aren't the only ones who are benefiting from Anyunna's daily affirmations. She says her own mental health has improved since she started the program，and other teachers have followed suit in the school and are seeing success in other classrooms，too. 

Then on her website pages where she spreads feel﹣good messages，many people have given positive response（回应）. "It's been amazing. So many people are sending so many positive messages or sharing their own stories and they say I've encouraged them to just keep trying

Anyunna says the response has encouraged her to keep going，too. She wants to do more to help kids reach their fullest potential（潜力）. 

In Germany, if children want to ride bikes on the road, they have to pass a test. The test is quite like our driving test.

First, the students have thirty classes about how to ride bikes safely on the road. Each student has a book. The book tells them how to keep safe on the road, how to keep others safe and what to do if they get hurt. Here is a picture from the book. It tells the students the right way to turn left.

After the classes, the students will have two written tests. Then, they will do some riding practice at school. Some policemen will come to give them some help.

At last, the students will have a test on the road. If they can pass the test, they can get a bike license (执照). Then they can ride on the road.

We all know Germans are very careful. We can see this from their riding test for the students. The students learn to ride, and at the same time, they learn the spirit (精神) of the country.

A mother went home after a long day's hard work. Her 8-year-old daughter ran up to her. She was waiting for her mother and wanted to tell her something about her younger brother. 

"While I was painting a picture and Dad was on the phone, Tyler took his crayons and wrote on the wall! I told him you would be angry with him for doing it again, but I couldn't stop him,"the daughter said. 

"He did it again? Where is your little brother now?"

"He is in his room. "

The mother walked to her younger son's room. She called his full name as she came in. Then, she found Tyler trying to hide under the bed. He knew that the worst time was coming. For the next 10 minutes, the room was full of the sound of the mother's shouting about the expensive wallpaper. 

Then she went to the living room to see what was on the wall. As she saw the wall, her eyes were full of tears at once. It said"I love you, Mum" with a heart on the word"love".
