      Do we have too much food? Of course not. According to the UN World Food Programme, there were 900million hungry people all over the world in 2013. About six million children die of hunger every year.

     So think about it. We should say no to people who waste food every day. An old saying goes, “Every grain on the plate comes from hard work.” It tells us everybody must save food.

      Luckily, a number of people have realized the importance of saving food. Li Hong, a waitress in a restaurant in Jiangsu, once lost her job because she took some leftover(剩余的) food home for her son. But many people were by her side and criticized (批评) the waste of food.

      What should we do in our daily life to stop wasting food? We can do many things to prevent it from happening. Here are some tips:

     Don't order too much food in a restaurant. Only order as much as you can eat. If you can't eat all the food you order, take the rest of it home.

      Don't be too picky(挑剔的) about food. Some food may not be tasty, but put body need it.

Don't keep too much food at home, especially for fruit and vegetables.

    Mr and Mrs Zipster like to be the first one for everything，but their daughter Maddie is always last．She arrives last for breakfast，because she has to say good moming to her fish．At school，Maddie is the last one to leave the library,because she puts all the books in the reading area onto the bookcases．In maths tests，Maddie is the last one to hand in(提交)the maths paper，because she never forgets to check(检查)her answers．After art class，Maddie is the last one to go out of the art room，because she closes all the paintjars(颜料瓶)so the paints won't dry．

    When my friend first arrived in Australia, he saw an old man selling some cheap goods(商品) in the street of Sydney. My friend was a kind hearted man, so he quickly gave some money to him. The old man asked him to pick some goods from him. My friend had no interest in those goods, so he left without choosing. But the old man followed him all the way.

The old man was out of breath, "My son, you gave me money, but you didn't want my things, so I have to give you something. I see you are a foreigner, likely not familiar(熟悉) with our city. I just want to follow you and show you the way. All I can do for you is this..."My friend was surprised. He said he didn't know why, but he felt the old man was just like his father, nice and warm.

    Father's Day is a very new festival in British compared with Mother's Day, which has been a very popular festival in the UK for a long time.

    Father's Day started in America in the world. Once there was a man called William Smith, whose wife died and he had to raise (供养) six children by himself. His daughter thought when she grew up what her father had done for them. So she thought that there should be a Father's Day. Later, the festival was born, falling on the third Sunday every June.

    Britain took the idea of Father's Day from the USA. What do British people do for Father's Day? Well, most people would buy cards for their fathers. The card would have a nice message in it. Some people do buy presents as well. Popular gifts for Dads are probably ties, chocolates or socks because these are things that Dads can always use even if (即使) they don't want them.

As a special treat, British people might give their Dad a bit of rest—make him a cup of tea, or even wash his car to make him feel really relaxed.
