I have always heard that walking under a ladder brings bad luck, but I have never thought so. I have walked under ladders many times, but I have never met anything bad before. It's the same with black cats. People say if a black cat crosses before you, it means bad luck. I have never thought that until this afternoon. But ever since I heard my student Sam's story, I have begun thinking about whether it was true.

This afternoon, Sam was walking down the street thinking about something, so he wasn't paying attention to where he was going; he walked right under a ladder standing against a building. A black cat ran out of a door just at that moment, and Sam fell over it. His head hit the ladder. A man washing the window was at the top of that ladder and the dirty water went down through the air. Poor Sam! He got wet all over.

Boys and girls, my name is Lucy, my good friends are in our new classroom. Tom is tall, and he is very quiet. He has short hair and black shoes. He has a black hat, too. He is on the chair. He has a big schoolbag. Lily is a very cute girl. She is short and thin. She is friendly. She has long and brown hair. Her picture is on the wall. She is near the blackboard. We are very happy to have this new classroom.

Mum and I went to the shop yesterday afternoon.We bought many things—a hat for Grandpa，a pair of shoes for Grandma，a sweater for Dad.Mum also bought me a new dress.It's pink.And it's very beautiful.We had dinner in KFC.I ate a hamburger.We came back home at 7 o'clock.I was very tired.

Welcome to our school farm. It's big and cool.

Look, this is the vegetable garden. You can see carrots, tomatoes and potatoes. I like tomatoes very much. They are big and juicy. In labour class(劳动课), we are little farmers. We can water and pick the vegetables. It's fun. We can also buy them in a cheap price(价格). One tomato is two yuan. The potatoes and carrots are one yuan for each(每个).

There are also many animals. We have twelve rabbits, fifty hens, five cows and fifteen horses. We can feed(喂) rabbits with carrots in labour class. We can also milk the cows and make a house(房子) for the hens. Then we can get fresh milk and eggs. And we can ride(骑) horses in PE class. It's so cool.
