It was a Sunday morning. Lori was busy writing in her book. Marilyn was drinking coffee and I was reading a newspaper. Suddenly, Lori 1  and asked, "Why are there more pictures of Lisa than there are of 2  ?"Lisa is our older daughter.

I stared back, not understanding the 3 . Lori left the room . I looked at Marily,"Are there more pictures of Lisa than of Lori?"

"I've never 4  them. I don't know,"replied Mrilyn.

" But 5  would Lori ask such a question?" I asked. After a few minutes of thought, Marilyn said,"In my memory(记忆),you were taking photos when Lisa was born.

You hardly went 6  without a camera. When Lori was born, videos became 7  . You used a video camera to record nearly everything in our lives. There must be hundreds of videos of Lori in the computer that Lori has8 seen or doesn't remember."

Later that night, when we were alone, I turned on the computer and found the 9  of Lori.

"What are you going to do?" Marilyn asked.

"Her birthday is coming," I said. "Let's make an album for her as a gift. I don't know if the album will answer her question, 10  at least she'll know that we care enough to find her an answer."

Over the next few days, we secretly went through all the videos. We selected (挑选) some 11 . Marilyn had them made into photos. When the photos were returned, we placed them' into an album.

When we looked at the album, all the 12  memories came back. We hoped it showed how 13  she was to us.

On th June, when passing Lori's room to leave for work, I opened the door and slipped the album inside. Attached to it was a birthday card with a note 14  why her mother and I had put the album together.

It was about eight o'clock when my office telephone rang. I picked up the receiver. A tiny voice spoke,"I love you, Daddy,"she said and disconnected. I knew our 15  had been received.

I like traveling alone. I have been to the Terracotta（兵马俑）, Disneyland and the Bird's Nest（鸟巢）. Attracted(吸引) by the beauty of the Great Wall, I flew there by myself this time.

At the entrance (入口), one short old woman followed me all the time. She wanted me to buy some cards. Finally, I became angry. "Don't you understand the meaning of ‘No'?" I shouted at her and left.

As soon as I walked along the Great Wall, I felt very excited. Then, when I was halfway, I found I was on a very dangerous road, and there were no walls. When the cold wind came, I was afraid. Suddenly, I heard a soft voice behind. Someone told me not to be afraid and she would help me. As I felt a pair of hands trying to keep me safe, I calm down(镇静).

Half an hour later, we arrived at a safer place. Feeling better, I turned around to see who she was. She was the short old woman. I felt humiliated for what I did and gave her a big hug (拥抱).

Through this experience, I learned that we should be kind to others because we never know what situation we'll be in and when we'll need help.

As kids ran towards the campfire, Miss King turned to Quill, "Just bring the kids watermelons and tell them a story." "Sure." said Quill, his hands becoming 1 . He was not a good storyteller. 

 Quill asked in a low voice, "What kind of story do you like? " A boy named Caden answered, "A ghost (鬼) story!" Alice rolled her eyes and other kids also shouted, "Quill will tell a 2 story, Caden." "A ghost story! " Caden 3 . Just then, Quill felt a pull from Emma, the quietest in the group, "I'm afraid of ghost stories."

Quill said 4 , "I'm going to tell. . . a. . . a toast story. " Caden 5 ," A toast story? I want a ghost story!" Quill said, "Long long ago, there was a piece of bread. . . named Bob." Some kids smiled. "One day, Bob was laid onto a wooden board. He started crying." "Bread can't cry!" Caden shouted. Quill's 6 turned red. 

"What happened next?" Emma asked. Quill had no idea, 7 he quickly looked at Caden, "Caden is going to tell us." Caden sat up, "Am I?" "Yes, it's a 8 story." Quill answered. Caden said 9 , "Bob was sure this was the end of his day. Then, a shining thing appeared over him."

"A knife!" Alice shouted. "Alice, it's your turn." Quill said. Alice added, "Then something dropped. The knife spread it all over Bob." "Salad cream." said Emma and 10 Quill's T-shirt. Alice continued, "Suddenly, a huge hand lifted Bob towards a big 11 . Bob screamed, "Help!"

Caden wanted to 12 , but Alice stopped him. Emma took a deep breath, and said, "Bob screamed again. The hand was surprised and 13 Bob. Bob ran away."

"So, Bob is 14 ." Caden added. 

"Not yet!" Emma shouted, sitting forward. Caden could feel his own 15 , as if he was also there with Bob. SNAP! Emma clapped her hands. Everyone jumped up and asked, "What happened?" "A dog ate him." Emma said, laughing. 

Our life is becoming better and better now. Some people have a lot of money. They buy houses {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a swimming pool. They wear {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (beautiful) and look successful. Their houses are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(huge) and more comfortable. Their cars are bigger and{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (expensive) than others'. Maybe your family is not as {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (rich) as theirs. Your house is smaller {#blank#}6{#/blank#} theirs. But you don't need {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(care) about these.{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (important) thing for you to do is to work hard. 

I think you {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (be) a successful person like them in 20 years if you work hard from now on. You will have more hobbies, like taking photos and playing {#blank#}10{#/blank#}piano. I believe when you get success, you will help others in the world. 

Li Ming is a student in Grade 7. He likes all the subjects. But geography is difficult for him. He wants to learn it well, but he doesn't know what to do. He is very worried. 

Wu Fang is his geography teacher. She is kind to her students. She wants to help him with his geography. One day, she came to Li Ming's desk and asked, "Hi, Li Ming. Where are you from?""I'm from Sichuan, Ms Wu. ""Oh, Sichuan is a nice place! Where is Mount Emei? Where does the Jialing River start?"

From then on, with the help of Ms Wu, Li Ming learned geography hard. And now, he can always get good grades(成绩) in geography. 

John is a student in a middle school. He likes hamburgers best. He doesn't want to eat fruit or vegetables. So he is very fat. His mother always says to him, "John, you can't be so fat. It's not healthy." But John says, "I'm fine, Mom. I want to eat my favorite hamburgers every day. At school, John doesn't like P.E. and he doesn't want to do sports. Every time he has P.E., he says to his teacher, "I don't feel(感觉) well and I can't have P.E." Then he goes to his classroom and eats food. 

Today John goes shopping with his mother. He wants to buy new clothes, but he is not happy____this time. He finds a nice T-shirt, but he can't wear the T-shirt in a big size. John says to his parents, "I don't want to be fat! And I want to be healthy." His father says he can take him to do sports. His mother says it's useful to eat healthy food. John thanks them for their help.
