(Now more and more people like shopping online, but is it good or bad? Here're a few different ideas. Let's take a look at them. )

Fred: I spend time on the Internet and buy many things online. I don't need to go out and wait for a long time. Also, I can always get the best things online. 

Dennis: I like shopping online a lot. I love to buy things on the Internet because people can send the products to me in a few days after I click the mouse on what I want. 

Anthea: Shopping online is a good way for us young people. We can save lots of time. When we buy anything online, we can compare different prices and features at the same time. 

Elihu: l like spending time going here and there in different shops and meeting different people, so I do very little online shopping. 

Harriet: 1 especially like shopping online, because it's much easier to choose my favourite things. Now I also have an online store called Millen to sell clothes. 

①American teenager Rain Price was waved off (挥手) to school from the bus stop outside his house, by his dad, every day for a whole school year. OK, so that doesn't sound too bad, but this was no ordinary goodbye, because each day Rain's dad did it while wearing a different fancy-dress costume.

②It all started on Rain's first day of high school. Like many proud parents, Rochelle and Dale, Rain's parents, sent him off to school with a big wave. Feeling himself no longer a little kid, Rain found it quite embarrassing. That evening he said how unhappy he was when they waved him off. Then Dale had a great idea.

③The next morning, as Rain stepped on the school bus, he could hear his school friends laughing. He was shocked to find that his dad was waving him off, dressed as an American football player, complete with a ball and helmet. For the rest of the school year, Dale waved goodbye dressed in different costumes. One day he was a king, the next a cook, the following Wonder Woman.

④Amazingly, Dale only spent $50 on all of the costumes. He got most of them from the family fancy-dress collection and then several friends and neighbors were happy to help.

⑤Most of Rain's classmates looked forward to seeing what Dale would be wearing every day. Even Rain finally realized how cool his dad was.

⑥On the last day of school, Dale dressed up as a pirate (海盗) and stood next to a sign which said, "It's been fun waving at the bus. Have a great summer."

Our nearest neighbor is the moon. In the sky, the moon and the sun seem to be of the same size because the moon is much nearer.

The moon makes the tides(潮汐)— the changes in the level of the sea. The moon and the sun together pull the sea. In some parts of the world, the difference between" high tide"( when the sea is very near the land) and" low tide"( when the sea is far away from the land) is very big. This is very important for ships.

The moon is very different from the earth. Gravity(重力) on the moon is six times weaker than that on the earth. There isn't any air. During the day, it is very very hot but at night it is very very cold. Nothing can live on the moon.

If the moon goes between the earth and the sun, we have an eclipse of the sun(日食). The moon stops the light from the sun and we have night in the day.

If the earth goes between the moon and the sun, we have an eclipse of the moon. The moon goes into the shadow(影子) of the earth and it disappears(消失) for a few minutes.

Have a look at the picture. There is a fairytale (童话) treehouse in it. Radamshome, a lovely dad, built it for his daughter. It is really beautiful, isn't it?

Radamshome is an artist (艺术家). His job is to make video games. One day, his daughter said that she dreamed (梦想) to have a fairy tree in her bedroom that she could sit and read books inside. So Radamshome decided to build a fairytale treehouse for his daughter. 

Radamshome said that he began with an idea, and then drew a picture. Next, he made a scale model (比例模型). He prepared (准备) all the things he needed. He first built a tree with steel and cement (钢筋和水泥). Then he painted the tree in beautiful colors. He even decorated (装饰) the tree with flowers, birds nests, butterflies and some Christmas lights. The treehouse looks very beautiful and special when the lights are on at night. There are also some animal toys near the tree. 

Radamshome spent eighteen months finishing this treehouse. He feels very happy when he sees his daughter reading books inside the fairy treehouse.

 These days, I find that mail delivery(投递) is a little different. I got a notice of my mail's arrival through email from a friend of mine. I went to the mailbox after the time the mail usually arrived. Nothing, but my neighbors' mail. I thought that was unusual.

I decided to take my neighbors' mail to them. I was going to put the mail in their mailbox when a tall man came and shouted at me. "Hey, what are you doing?" He snatched(夺取) the mail from my hand, open the mailbox, and pointed inside. "You were after this!"

I shook my head, "No, I was just bringing it to them. I got this mail by mistake in my box today." He gave me a funny look and went back into his house.

I got the knock on the door the next morning by two police officers. The angry tall man had phoned the police and told them I was a crazy old woman going around mixing up everyone's mail. Before I could finish telling them about what was going on, the officers had watched the dog coming near my mailbox with mail in his mouth. He took out the mail that was in my box and put letters in. He pushed the door closed with his nose, picked up the new pile of mail he had got from my box, and repeated this all the way down the next street. We all started laughing.

 The dog had belonged to a postman who had died. It had been trained to put mail in and take mail out of the boxes. After his owner died, he was left alone, but he still carried on with his duties.

I went by to talk to the tall man to describe what had happened. He was very pleased when he realized I was not a mail thief. He did, however, adopt(领养) the little guy.
