    More land will be used for building new towns and houses for all the people. Then there will be less room for cows and sheep, so meat will be more expensive. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}Instead, people will eat more fruit and vegetables. In this way, people may be healthier.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Only about 29%of the Earth's area is land and the rest is sea, so some think maybe we can get more food from the sea.

    Besides, though rice supports more than half the world's population, it needs a lot of water to grow. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Therefore, it might be impossible to grow rice in the future. Some farmers are experimenting with new crops. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}The soybean (黄豆) makes a good substitute (替代品) for rice and meat.

    Thirteen-year-old Cindy had been bullied (欺凌) at school for about two years. Her bag, keys and mobile phone had been stolen. She had also been knocked off her bicycle, kicked and punched (以拳重击).

    Cindy tried to fight back, but it always seemed to be her, not the bullies, who got into trouble. She became so afraid of going to school that she started to be absent from her classes.

So remember one very important piece of advice: If you are being bullied, don'tput up with it—tell someone.

Anna Mary，known as Grandma Moses，grew up on a farm. As a child，she loved drawing. But she hardly（几乎不） did it because she had to do busy farm work. Grandma Moses spent all her life on the farm. When she was old and found farm work difficult，she started to paint at the age of 78. 

An art lover found Grandma Moses's paintings in a shop in 1938. He bought them，and the next day he went to her farm and bought all her paintings. Soon Grandma Moses became famous. In 1940，at the age of 80，she had her first painting show in New York. "Do your favorite thing，and you will finally be successful（成功的），"she once said. 

Grandma Moses died in 1961，at the age of 101. She painted over 1600 paintings in the late part of her life. Many people loved the bright colors and beautiful farm views in her works. After knowing Grandma Moses's life story，they felt relaxed about their future（未来） because becoming old didn't mean anything. Also，they thought confidently about their future. They finally knew that age wouldn't be a problem for those who wanted to make a change（改变）. 

It was 2:43 am, October 20th, 2023. It was raining heavily outside. Suddenly my father rushed into my room."Daming! Get up! We're flooding!"he {#blank#}1{#/blank#}and shook me. That woke {#blank#}2{#/blank#} up! I ran downstairs. It was like a swimming pool. My mother and I started to pick up things and take them{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

Things got worse every minute. We were in great{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Water had come in our front door.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}we knew our home was being destroyed, we couldn't do  anything to stop it. Rescue（ 救援） boats came and finally we reached a primary school{#blank#}6{#/blank#}. All the people there helped{#blank#}7{#/blank#}other.

I really have learned a lot {#blank#}8{#/blank#} this flood( 洪 灾 ). I have learned something{#blank#}9{#/blank#} about safety. I know in the future, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I find people are in danger, I will show great pity and do what I can to help them.
