Einstein has to speak at an important science meeting.  On the way there, he tells his driver that looksa bit like him, "I'm sick of all these meetings. I always say the same thingsover and over!"

The driver agrees, "You're right. As your driver, I attendall of them, and even though I don't know anything about science, I could give thespeech in your place. "

"That's a great idea!" says Einstein. "Let's exchangeour places then!"

So they exchange clothes. As soon as they arrive, the driverdressed as Einstein goes on stage and starts giving the usual speech, while thereal Einstein, dressed as the car driver, attends it.

But in the crowd, there is one scientist who wants to show offand thinks of a very difficult question to ask Einstein, hoping he won't be ableto answer. So this guy stands up and cuts in the speech by raising his very difficultquestion. The whole room goes silent, holding their breath, waiting for the answer.

The driver looks at him, dead in the eye, and says, "Sir,your question is so easy that I'm going to let my driver answer it for me."

Johnny, a lizard (蜥蜴), lived between some rocks in the country, where he liked sunbathing every morning. One day, he felt so 1 that he didn't notice some boys coming up behind him. The boys caught Johnny, and he could only escape from their hands by losing his 2 and running to hide.

The children watched his tail moving about, but they soon threw the tail away and left. Johnny came out to 3 his tail, but could find no 4 of it. Feeling so sad, he decided to 5 doing everything else in his life and spending all his time finding his tail. Days and months passed, and Johnny kept looking, asking everyone 6 they had seen his tail. However, there was 7 no news about it.

One day, he asked a boy and the boy 8 replied, "Why do you need two tails?" After hearing this, Johnny turned back and saw that he had grown a new, stronger tail. He suddenly realised how 9 it had been to waste so much time on a problem like it. Johnny headed for home.

10 , he suddenly found his old tail on the roadside. Although it 11 terrible, Johnny was still excited to have it back. He picked it up and was about to 12 his journey. Just at that moment, an idea hit him that he shouldn't look at the past and worry about it since it was not useful for 13 .

He then decided to 14 his old tail there leaving with it all his past worries. As he continued his journey, all he took with him were thoughts of the present and the dreams of the 15 .

As we know, it's not good to look at the past, unless it helps in the future. Let the past go with the wind.

Till now I can't forget that day. It was a cold snowy morning after the winter {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (假期). I got up early and went to a new school. It is the most famous one {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (在……之中) middle schools in New York. I was walking alone slowly and worried about lots of things because it was the first time for me to stay {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (在国外). It was early and there were no other people on the road, so it was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (寂静) outside. 

Suddenly a girl on her bike got into trouble. She fell off the bike and tried hard to get up but she {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(未能达到) Without thinking, I went over and helped her. She said "thank you" with a smile and then rode away. Her words warmed me a lot. 

Finally, I got to school. The teacher introduced me to the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(整个；全部) class Then he asked me to sit beside a girl. I felt so nervous that I didn't look at her. Soon the bell {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (响铃) for the firs class. Their textbooks were different from those at my old school. While I was {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(考虑;斟酌) asking the teacher for help, an English book appeared in front of me. "Let's share. " To my surprise, it was the girl I helped that morning. Later on, we became good friends. 

From that I learnt: To help others is actually to help {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(我们自己). Life teaches us not only {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (知识) but also experience. I hope I will always help others in my life. 

Last Friday, my friend Deborah asked me if I would like to learn how to make tofu. I couldn't think of any good reason not to be interested in, so I said: "Yes". So the next day I met her and other three nice people and went to Hodo Soy Beanery in Oakland, I enjoyed the trip. And I learned a lot from the trip. The following is what I learned.

Tofu has a history of 2,000 years. Although the word "tofu" is from Japanese, the food may come from China. There are two main kinds of tofu: soft tofu (软豆腐) and firm tofu (硬豆腐). In some parts of Asia (亚洲), people use tofu as a kind of meat.

Douhua is one kind of soft tofu. It is a popular breakfast food in China. Because it is very soft, people can't eat it with chopsticks, but with a spoon. People often eat it as a dessert (甜点) and often add spring onions and sauce (酱油) to it. In Malaysia people usually eat douhua with white or dark sugar water.

Confidence is very important in daily life. It can help you to develop a healthy attitude (态度). A study shows that the people who are more confident are much happier. They can have more chances to make themselves successful. But how to be more confident? Here are some suggestions: 

Speak loud 

When you are not confident, you can't do well what you want to do. You speak in such a low voice that other people can hardly hear you. Try to speak loud enough so that people can hear you clearly. The high voice can help you become more confident. 

Play sports 

Physical exercise makes you tired but completely relaxed. A strong body helps you be full of confidence. 

Encourage yourself Write down a list of things you did during the day to see how many things you have done well. Did you finish your homework? Did you tell a joke that made everybody happy? Give yourself praise for the good things you've done. 

 Get rid of (消除) fear 

Fear comes along with failure (失败). But it's easy to overcome (克服) if you know that failure is part of your life. Don't hide your head just because you said something stupid last time. Try to start again and believe you can do better. 

Pick up a hobby 

If you like singing, sing as much as you can. In some ways, a hobby can make you outstanding. And it will make you happy and confident.
