Why are so many people so afraid to fail ? Quite simply because no one tells us how to face the failure (失败）. In fact, failure can become experience that means growth. We forget that failure is part of the human condition and that every person has the right to fail.

Most parents work hard to prevent failure or protect their children. One way is to lower (降低)standards. Nearly 60% of the parents choose this way. When a child finishes making a table, the mother describes it as "perfect" even though it doesn't stand still. The other way is to blame (责怪）others. If John fails in science, his teacher is unfair or stupid.

There's a problem with the two days. It makes a child unprepared for the real life if they don't meet enough failure. The young need to learn that no one can be the best at everything, no one can win all the time. The young should be allowed to experience failure. 

Failure never gives people pleasure. It hurts both grown—ups and children. But it can be really good to your life when you learn to use it.

I'm Mike. This is my room. A bed, a desk, a chair, a sofa and a TV are in my room. A green quilt(被子)is on the bed. I like the colour green. My desk is green, too. And my blue schoolbag is on it. My white jacket is on the chair. And a ball is under the chair. What's that on the sofa? It's an English-Chinese dictionary. It's my sister's. The TV is nice. It is from my grandfather. I like watching TV on the sofa.

We did a survey about "My Favorite TV Shows" last week. Here are the results. 

Gianni Golfera is in front of a group of people. His eyes are covered, but he can still show these people something that's amazing. First, the people choose sixty numbers as they like. After that, a helper reads the numbers to Gianni. Then, after hearing them just a single time, Gianni repeats the numbers in the correct order from memory. Then, he does it again—backwards!

Gianni has a very special kind of memory. He explains in his own words, "It's a kind of memory that is connected to what I see. It means that every idea I learn, everything I read, becomes a part of me."

Memory is very difficult to understand. Scientists don't really know how it works, yet. The Golfera family genes (基因) may hold important information about Gianni's memory. A scientist called Antonic Malgaroli plans to compare the Golfera family's genes with the genes of more forgetful families. "The question," says Dr. Malgaroli. "is how much it's really because of the Golfera family genes, and how much comes from his practice."

Researchers are now studying how memory and learning change the brain. They are also trying to match those changes to genes. Some research already shows that a great memory may not depend on the right DNA only. According to Dr. Malgaroli, "If you really need to use your brain to store some kind of information, you have this ability. It's just a matter of exercise." That is, practice and exercising the brain can improve the memory!

The same idea is true for Gianni. His genes are only part of the story. Since the age of 11, he's been training his brain to remember more and more. He practices continuously to improve the power of his memory. Gianni thinks about memory, and works on it, all the time. However, Gianni's life is not all about science. He has a normal life, just like other people. So, researchers think Gianni's memory is mainly because of his very hard work. Gianni agrees.

Gianni believes if there is a memory gene, he probably has it. But the success of Gianni may be more about practice and hard work than DNA. At the same time, he might just be showing scientists that a great memory can be made and not just born!

 Lychee(荔枝) is a kind of delicious fruit. It comes from warm and wet places in southern China. The sound of the word"lychee" comes from its Chinese name. Lots of people love eating it because it's delicious and full of vitamins(维生素). It can help people keep healthy and strong. However, ▲. Low temperature lychee preservation(保存) technology can help to solve the problem. Zhu Zhiwei is a teacher at South China University of Technology. He said"With this technology, the preservation period of lychee can be increased to one year. It allows people to enjoy the fresh fruit all year round."

 Once picked, the fruit only lasts around two or three days. In the fridge, lychee   can be stored for about 10 days. But the new technology can quickly freeze lychee below - 35℃ to store for one year. People now try to use the method to keep more than2000 tons of the fruit fresh. The technology will help solve the problem of selling bad lychee and selling them in high prices. And it will improve the quality of lychee in the future. With the help of it, lychee can keep the bright color and the good taste for a long time. It can be sold to other countries, including the United States, Japan, England and so on.

 The technology is safe and easy to use. It can also be used to keep other foods and vegetables fresh in the following years.
