Mr Johnson lived in a village. He had a big farm and five (man) worked for him. He had lots of money but hoped to become much (rich). He tried to get everything and was very unkind to his workers so no one liked him.

The workers ran to the river quickly and found Mr Johnson, but no one wanted to save him. His wife said, "We have been married nearly thirty years. I can't lose him. I'll give twenty dollars to the man who can save

A young man jumped into the river and wanted to save Mr Johnson. "The young man will save you," said his wife. "We should give him twenty dollars, I think."
"I don't think so," said Mr Johnson. "I will be half dead I am pulled out of the river, so I can only give him ten dollars!"
