 读后续写

It is natural that every student remembers the first day at school well. It gave me a terrible feeling of fear and anxiety but I also made a good friend.

When I was of the school-going age,it was my mother who first thought of sending me to school. When she expressed it I thought that she was a heartless woman. It seemed to me that my happy days of playing with my toys were taken from me forever.

As I went to school with my father, my mind was disturbed at first. Although I had heard about school, I had not visited it earlier. My father took me to school which was an unknown place for me. Teachers and students were strangers to me. When I entered the school I felt nervous. It was a big building with tall walls.The atmosphere of the school was calm and quiet. However, as a small child I could not feel stable at the sight of the building. I was not acquainted with such atmosphere earlier.

It was an old and famous school in our community. My father was a student there in his childhood and youth. The headmaster was well known to my father and greeted him with a smile. My father introduced me to the headmaster and requested him to admit me to the school. Then I was admitted as a student. The headmaster allowed me to attend the class. I became nervous. My father left me at the door of a classroom and went away. I was about to cry. Finally, I made up my mind and knocked at the door. A lady allowed me in. It was a classroom filled with students of all size. They looked at me curiously and I just wanted to find a place to hide. The lady led me to a desk behind a girl named Jane and asked us to introduce ourselves one by one.

"Were you Mark's math teacher?" an old man came to my office and asked. I nodded. "Mark talked about you a lot. I want to show you something," he said, taking a wallet out of his pocket. "They found this on him when he was killed in the battle. We thought you might recognize it. "

Opening the wallet, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. I knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which I had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him. And that happened 20 years ago.

Mark was in the third grade class I taught. All 34 of my students were dear to me, but Mark was one in a million. Very neat in appearance, he had that happytobealive attitude that made even his occasional misbehavior delightful.

Mark also talked without stopping. I tried to remind him again and again that talking without permission was unacceptable. What impressed me so much, though, was the sincere response every time I had to correct him for misbehaving. "Thank you for correcting me, Sister!" I didn't know what to make of it at first but before long I became accustomed to hearing it many times a day.

One morning my patience was growing thin when Mark talked once too often. I made a new teacher's mistake. I looked at Mark and said, "If you say one more word, I am going to tape your mouth shut!"

It wasn't ten seconds later when Chuck shouted, "Mark is talking again." I hadn't asked any of the students to help me watch Mark, but since I had stated the punishment in front of the class, I had to act on it.

Paragraph 1

I walked to my desk and took out a roll of tape.

Paragraph 2

One day I decided to do something different when Mark talked again in class.

Chloe Chang wasn't sure about giving up her blue, pink, and purple mermaid(美人鱼)palace. Her twin brother Clark had packed a paper bag full of T-shirts and shorts that no longer fit him. "It's time to go," called their mother, Mrs. Chang.

The twins raced from their bedroom to the living room. On the floor, they saw a basket full of books and some toys. Clark emptied his bag down while Chloe held on to her mermaid palace. Their dad, Mr. Chang, packed everything into the family's big-wheeled cart. When he reached for the palace, Chloe put out her hand and insisted on carrying it herself.

As they left their home, Mr. Chang and Mrs. Chang took turns pulling the cart to the park, with Chloe and Clark walking behind. The palace felt heavy in Chloe's arms, but she refused to put it in the cart. A while later, Clark pointed at a banner(横幅)hanging between two trees that read in big letters: NEIGHBORHOOD GIVEAWAY. "Look! It's right there!" Clark shouted.

Their neighborhood park was full of bags and boxes. Each family brought gently used items that they no longer needed, and everyone was invited to take what they would like at the monthly gathering. Clark's eyes grew wide as he watched all the toys resting on picnic blankets, including baby toys, plastics and buckets, stuffed animals, and 300-piece puzzles. One puzzle showing puppy dogs playing in grass caught Clark's attention. The dog on the box reminded him of his pet Chewie. However, he put the puzzle down, thinking of the huge number of puzzles he already had. Afterwards Clark happily jumped behind his mom.

Mr. Chang unpacked the items they had brought placing them on a red blanket. "Why do we have to give away our things?" asked Chloe unhappily. "Honey, I know it's hard to say goodbye to things you used to play with. But your mom and I want to give away things we don't need anymore. Our neighbors can use them," Mr. Chang explained. Suddenly their neighbor Ms. Ruby and her daughter Penelope approached their blanket.

注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右;2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。

Ms. Ruby, with her usual bright smile, greeted the Changs while Penelope examined the items displayed.

……

"I think it's time for my palace to have a new owner," Chloe whispered.

Jon's Pajama Problem

Oh no, he had done it again. He'd forgotten something important. Last year on their family trip to his uncle's cottage for Christmas, he had forgotten the bag with the toiletries (洗漱用品) in it. Neither he nor his brother had toothbrushes or toothpaste or shampoo. He'd had to borrow from his cousins who were not thrilled to share, and Jon was not too thrilled that his hair smelled like strawberries all week.

The year before, Jon had left the marshmallows and graham crackers at home, so they had no mores for the evening fire and annual reading of "The Night Before Christmas". They had to nibble on (小口咬) some stale (不新鲜的) crackers instead. His cousins still teased him about that.

And now, Jon couldn't believe he had forgotten to pack his pajamas. At home, that wouldn't really be a problem: he had extra pajamas. But at the cottage, there were photographs dating back for years and years of Jon's family on Christmas morning in front of the tree in their pajamas. Jon was feeling awful. He would be the first one to break the family tradition ever. Would he ruin Christmas for everyone? What could he do?

He didn't want to tell his parents. He went looking around the cottage, and found an old T- shirt. That could work. He tried putting it on, but it was too small. He tried to stretch it, but it must have been washed 100 times, and it ripped when he pulled on it.

At this point, Jon was getting desperate. He snuck into his brother's luggage, trying to find some spare pajamas, only to find himself in trouble when his older brother caught him and yelled. His brother hated it when Jon messed with his stuff.

Then his brother told their parents.

Then came the next morning. Jon's mother said. "Before we take the Christmas photo, I have a special gift for someone."
