Travelling is an exciting experience. It makes us feel pleased, and enjoy new part of life. A single holiday trip can give you the freedom and the chance to make changes that daily life does not allow. It matters little where you go on your holiday; it is all in what you make of it. Any travel can be interesting, and give you sweet memories(记忆;回忆).

Having those memories is truly what travels are all about. Many people say that a bit of planning and research before you leave can make sure of those memories. But why not try something unexpected (意料之外的)? In fact, the most unforgettable moments of a travel experience are the ones that you don't plan for. Yes, maybe you'll experience a bad meal in a strange place. But these experiences will make sure you find little-known shops.

You'll find the enjoyable moments happening all around you. A wonderful sunset or a small child playing in the puddles(小水洼)of a cobble road. The magic will truly be in the trip you take. Take time to go for a long walk for enjoyment when you visit a new place, and it will make you listen, smell, and see the different culture and sights that your busy life may stop you from enjoying.

Simple things such as a leaf from a tree can keep the memories of your travel alive for years to come. Collect small things such as leaves, stones, or feathers, and those things can be turned into memorable works of art when you get back home.

For thousands of years, tea is loved by many people around the world. It has finally received top-level global recognition as a shared cultural treasure of our humans. On November 29, 2022, traditional tea processing techniques and their related social customs in China were added to UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity（联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产名录）. Following "Wangchuan Ceremony（送王船）" in 2020,this project is the 43rd one to be successfully added to the list and there are 44 sub-projects in total belonging to this main project.

Chinese tea culture began as early as over 5,000 years ago. It's said the ruler Shen Nong was the first to discover tea as a drink by accident. But during the Three-Kingdom Period, people paid more attention to its medical value. In the Tang Dynasty, tea-tasting became an important part for poets' life. Bai Juyi wrote 64 poems about tea in his lifetime.

 According to UNESCO, in China traditional tea processing techniques are closely connected to location and natural environment. The area of tea planting in China is about between 18°-37°N and 94°-122°E. Tea-related customs are not only found across the country, but also influenced the rest of the world through the ancient Silk Road. In western countries, tea firstly became popular in Britain in the 17th century, and then the whole of Europe. When it came to the late 18th and 19th centuries, 10% of a British person's income（money made from work） at the time was spent on tea, making it one of the most important expensive goods.

Some people like to collect stamps. Others prefer posters or coins. But Pinky Bhutia is different. She collects children. In her mountain village, in Sikkim, she is known as the wonderful young woman who adopts (领养) all the children she can. 

Pinky was 14 when she adopted her first child, a Nepali baby girl, whose patents died. Pinky's parents did not mind. Pinky left school and started working full time because she had a baby to feed. Today, she has twelve adopted children, and two sons from her marriage. 

Pinky is about 30 years old and she comes from a common family. If you passed her on the street, you wouldn't give her a second look. She lives in a brown mud-washed（泥刷的） house. There is a vegetable garden outside. Red hens with noisy chicks run all over the garden looking for food.

If you ask her why she provides a home to so many kids, she smiles shyly. But her eyes are serious. "I know what it is to be poor and hungry. "As a child, her only dream was to eat a full meal, and her favorite amusement was watching people with shoes and imagining what it felt like. By adopting poor and homeless children she is making sure that they never feel that hopeless. 

Pinky feels very proud when she sees her children happy and bright, Her oldest baby, Aarita Rai, is now 20 years old. Then, there is 19-year-old Nimbe who came to Pinky because her mother was unable to look after her. She started to work in a government office two years ago. 10-year-old Bhim and 14-year-old Kumar came to Pinky five years ago, after their father died. They started living on a patch of land given by Pinky and grew vegetables for sale.

"I like children. It's not one more mouth to feed but one more soul saved, "Pinky says. 

A well- known poem by Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu tells of a scene (场面) in early April, "Rains fall heavily as Qingming comes, and passers- by with lowered spirits go. "

This scene takes place on Tomb- sweeping Day, also known as the Qingming Festival. Tomb- sweeping Day is a traditional Chinese festival. It began in the Zhou Dynasty, over 2, 500 years ago. 

Chinese people celebrate it to remember their ancestors (祖先). Tomb- sweeping Day became a public holiday in 2008. People have one day off for that day. 

On this day, families bring flowers, food and wine to the grave sites (墓地 ) of their ancestors. They place cakes, fruit in front of the grave and some may burn joss paper as money for the dead. After that, they sweep the tombs and cherish (怀念) the memories of their dead family members. 

Tom- sweeping Day gives us a chance to show respect to our ancestors and family members who have passed away and show that we miss them. This tradition shows that family values are an important part of Chinese culture. 

Tomb- sweeping Day is also the beginning of the time for gardening and outdoor activities in China. Families often get together for outings or to fly kites at this time. 

On the night of Aug 11, the Paris Olympics Games closed with an amazing ceremony(闭幕式). As the first game started on July 24, around 10, 500 athletes from more than 200 countries and places competed at the biggest sports event in the world. 

Success and breakthroughs（突破）

In Paris, many unforgettable moments felt like dreams coming true. China's Olympic team had a fantastic performance, winning 40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze. Chinese divers and table tennis players swept all the gold medals in their sports. In swimming, Chinese swimmer Pan Zhanle, 20, set a new world record of 46. 40 seconds in the men's 100-meter freestyle, making history. Zheng Qinwen, 21, won China's first Olympic gold in tennis singles on August 3.

In addition to their outstanding athletic performances, the Olympic athletes in Paris will be remembered for their exceptional sportsmanship. After winning silver in women's singles badminton, China's He Bingjiao, 27, carried a Team Spain Olympic pin with her onto the podium (领奖台). She wanted to show respect for her semifinal (半决赛) competitor Carolina Marin. She wasn't able to continue her game because of her knee injury. He Bingjiao touched millions of people. 

Better Olympics, better society

Looking towards a better future, the rooms in the Olympic village will be turned into 2, 800 housing for more people. Paris held the opening ceremony along the Seine River, the famous river. Paris brought athletes, performers and the audience closer together, lighting the city of fashion with an amazing big party.
