Frank is an 18-year-old boy. He {#blank#}1{#/blank#} from Australia. Now he is studying Chinese in a school in Changsha. There {#blank#}2{#/blank#} many clubs in the school. These clubs are really interesting for him.

In the Chinese cooking club, he learns {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to make Chinese food. Now he can make baozi{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

Another great club is about Chinese songs. He isn't good at {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Chinese songs. But his classmates are very nice and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, and some of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} teach him to sing every week.

What's Frank's favorite club? Well, he likes Chinese kung fu club best. Why does he like Chinese kung fu? Because he thinks it is a good way to keep {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Now he is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Tai Chi(太极) with a great teacher. The teacher's classes are very helpful and relaxing. He likes telling {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to help students know about Tai Chi.

Claude Monet brought sunshine into painting. 

He was one of the first artists to work1 .That may sound2 to us today. But before1870, most artists did all their paintings in rooms. They used models dressed up as Greek gods orheroes from history. They painted with dark colors so their pictures would look more3 .

However, Monet and his artist friends4 the rules. They took their paints and brushes to paint lakes, flowers and woods in the open air. They wanted to show5 sunlight made water and boats look at different times during the day. If they painted people, they always painted common people. They used6 colors and painted quickly. 

For years, Monet had7 making money. Sometimes he could not pay the rent (租金) ; sometimes his family had no heat; sometimes they went hungry.8 ,Monet would not give up. 

Today, he is one of the most famous artists ever. Paintings by Monet sell for millions of dollars and9 in museums around the world. We're all lucky that Monet never10 believing in his art. 

Genevieve Moss has serious hearing loss. Her world has always been silent. Alone in a town in England, she often felt lonely.

Then one day in April in 2021, something stopped Moss as she read the local newspaper. It was a photo of a tiny black-and-white cat. A family was looking for a home for their last newborn cat. Moss fell in love with it at first sight and contacted the family. Soon, the cat came to Moss's house. Moss called the cat Zebby because his colors looked like those of a zebra.

Moss once heard of studies showing that pets can help people deal with loneliness. However, she had no idea that Zebby would become her helper and her ears. From their first night together, Zebby has slept next to her. When he hears noises in the dark, he jumps up. "He became my night watch cat," Moss said. "Sometimes he would run around the room until I woke up."

After several weeks, Moss noticed that whenever her phone rang or someone knocked at the door, Zebby would touch her lightly. It wasn't long before the cat took on another task: collecting Moss's mail. Now whenever he hears the mailbox being opened, he runs towards it, carries the mail in his mouth and drops it at Moss's feet.

This past May Zebby was named Britain's National Cat of the Year by Cats Protection. According to the largest cat charity, Zebby beat out about 3,000 other cats because of the many ways he makes Moss's life easier. He has had no training at all, but his natural abilities seem to have told him that his owner needs his help.

"Zebby has made my house a home," Moss said. "I can hardly imagine not having Zebby in my life now."

My name is Mike and I'm new in the city. I'm twelve years old. My father is a bus driver and my mother is a nurse. They love me very much. This is my new friend Lucy. She is eleven years old. She is a good girl. She often tells me about the city.

It's reported that India is facing one of the worst water shortage in its history. 26-year-old Ramveer Tanwar knew a thing or two about it years ago. The young man comes from a small village in Greater Noida in India. A trip back to his hometown has totally changed his life.

During the trip, Ramveer noticed that many lakes where he used to swim and play with his friends dried up because of pollution. What's worse, many water bodies were disappearing fast. Instead of waiting for the government to take action, the young man decided to take matters into his own hands as soon as possible.

In the beginning, Ramveer went from door to door or held meetings to educate local villagers on the importance of water protection. He believed by teaching people the situation could get better. But later he found that was not enough. So besides talking to villagers, he teamed up with them and began to bring lifeless lakes back to life in the area. "We tried making a lake live again by removing all its waste. Many of the villagers came to help. Some of them worked with us while others offered us tools (工具) and equipment," Ramveer said. They even succeeded in getting support from the forest department, which provided them with plants to be planted around the lakes. ,

Since 2014, with the help of the volunteers, Ramveer has brought about twelve dead lakes back to life. Of course, he doesn5t plan to stop there. Today he is using his power and influence to call on more people to join him.

It is important to say"No" if necessary, although it is not easy. My best friend Julia asked me to help her look after her pet dog when she travelled to Shanghai. I wanted to say"no" to her, but I agreed. I was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} busy to look after it well, and then {#blank#}2{#/blank#} bad happened. Her dog got ill because of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . Julia was angry and said she wouldn't {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in me anymore. I hoped she could trust me again. Then she said unless I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to take her dog to the animal hospital with her, she wouldn't forgive (原谅) me.

{#blank#}6{#/blank#} , I broke my promise again. Because I had an important {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the next day. When Julia called me, I was studying {#blank#}8{#/blank#} my exam carefully. I didn't answer the phone in time. This made her even {#blank#}9{#/blank#} than before. Later, I said sorry and talked to her about the reasons {#blank#}10{#/blank#} . She was so understanding that she forgave me.

 From then on, I know that sometimes we need to say" No". It's important.
