Julia and Lisa have a picnic on Sunday. At 7: 00 o'clock, they have {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(早餐)Then they take some picnic food {#blank#}2{#/blank#} them to a park(公园). In the park, they s{#blank#}3{#/blank#} many flowers(花). Lisa wants to pick (采摘) some.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}Julia tells her not to do that. At 12: 00, they{#blank#}5{#/blank#}[hæv] their lunch. Their picnic food is very {#blank#}6{#/blank#} [nais] .Eggs and hamburgers are {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  (they )favorite {#blank#}8{#/blank#} [fu:d]. After(在……之后) lunch, they fly {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (kite) in the park. At 4: 00 in the afternoon they go home . Their mother {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (ask) them, "Do you have a good time?" "Yes." they say. They are very happy.

A man and his wife were very poor. They kept hoping for new clothes and good food. The man enjoyed eating and he especially liked pancakes. One night a young woman came to their house and told them that she would let them have three wishes. They could wish for anything they wanted.

The man had just finished eating a little bread for his dinner and he was still hungry. He said,"I wish I had a big pancake!"

Suddenly there was a pancake on his plate.

"You fool!" his wife cried. "You could wish for a house full of wonderful food, but you wished for a pancake. I wish that pancake was on the end of your foolish nose."

Immediately (立即) the pancake was on the end of the man's nose.

Then the man and his wife started blaming (责备) each other. "It's your fault!" the man cried. "No, it's your fault!" she answered. What could they do? The pancake was still on the husband's nose.

"Oh!" the wife cried. "I wish none of this had ever happened!"

Immediately the pancake was gone, and the man was saying, "I'm still hungry. How I wish I had some pancakes!"

But of course nothing happened.

Once a tortoise (乌龟) and two swans (天鹅) lived on a lake. They were very good friends. They spent many hours happily together.

Unluckily, there was no rain that year. The lake became dry. So they had to leave the lake to search for another lake to live.

The two swans could fly easily, but it was difficult for the tortoise. The three of them began to wonder, and they didn't know what to do next.

At last, the two swans had an idea. They said to the tortoise, "We will place a stick in your mouth. We will carry the stick in our beaks (鸟嘴) on either side. This will make us fly together. But remember, you must not open your mouth. If you do, you know what will happen to you."

The tortoise was sad to leave the lake, but it agreed to the idea happily.

One fine morning, they were flying over a large town. The people of the town were surprised at what they saw in the sky. They were very curious about it and started shouting excitedly.

The tortoise heard the noise and wondered what it was about. It forgot its promise and opened its mouth to ask curiously, "Why is there…? Ah…!"

Sadly, down fell the tortoise, and died.

The swans had no chance to save it. They were sad to lose their best friend but had to fly away and start their new life.

One early morning, I woke up by a telephone call. It was from a taxi driver. He told me he had my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（friend）cell phone（手机）.My friend Michael {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（leave）it in the taxi the night before. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} driver called others, but I was the first one to answer his call.

It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a rainy morning. For taxi drivers in this big city, it's the best time{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（make）money. He asked me where he could drop the cell phone off. I told {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（he）the street where I lived. Then I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（quick）jumped out of bed and got dressed, so I could meet him at the corner.

When he arrived, I thanked him. And I was even {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（happy）than my friend. He moved to this country a few weeks ago— and I could only imagine（设想）how important his cell phone was to him!

I asked the taxi driver for his name, so my friend could thank him. He said my {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（thank）were all that he needed. Then he drove off.

I e-mailed my friend telling him I had his phone. In the evening, he came to my home and I told him {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I got it. My friend was very excited to get back his cell phone. He said he would help others as much as possible.

Let me tell you something interesting. Last weekend, I had an {#blank#}1{#/blank#}experience made a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to spend my day at the train station, watching the trains come and go. It was a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} new world to me, and I thought it was amazing. I saw a lantern {#blank#}4{#/blank#} from a post, casting a warm light, A parent was {#blank#}5{#/blank#}with his children, making them laugh. 

Different people did different things. How interesting it was!
