When you' re bored, you might watch short videos. You may think it is a good way to have fun. But according to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} new study, this will only make you feel more bored.

Last year, a team at the University of Toronto Scarborough in Canada {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(do) an experiment on this with 159 people. The experiment was like this. First, they asked people to watch a 10-minute online video. They can't skip(跳过) the videos or switch (切换) them. People had to watch it from the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(begin) to the end. After that, they could choose from seven short videos by {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(they). Each video was five minutes, and people had 10 minutes to watch them. During watching them, they were free to skip through the videos or switch among them. After watching them, the scientists asked people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} they felt during the experiment. Something interesting happened. All of them enjoyed the first part more than the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(two). Why is this? Boredom has something to do {#blank#}7{#/blank#} attention. The more we dive into(沉浸) a video, the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(little) bored we will feel. When you pay more attention to{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(watch) a video, it is not easy for you to feel bored. So it is better for us to watch a video {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(careful) and not to skip or switch videos too quickly.
